I came on the site earlier today to post my story only to see the first story on the page was McDonalds issuing an apology to Chief Hudson and Officer Taylor for the rude remark made by one of their employees. Eddie Byrd Murphy Family Restaurants Director of Marketing and Community Outreach also apologized stating " What occurred does not reflect the values of our brand, our franchise or the love and admiration we have demonstrated consistently for our friends in law enforcement and first responders" Well Mr Byrd, let me just tell you that you have some serious retraining to do because some of the employees didn't get the memo. My husband and his partner went to the McDonalds on Rte 30 in North Versailles Pa on 8/21/19. They were in full uniform. They stood there for approx 5-7 minutes and no one would wait on them. Finally another customer came in and then they had no choice but to wait on them. I wont get in to all the details about the poor service and totally messed up order. What I will get in to is the fact that an employee turned to another employee stating my husband was an asshole. The manager was present the entire time and said NOTHING. My husband called corporate to file a complaint. He was told he would get a call within 24 hrs. needless to say that didn't happen. So he called again today and was told they don't give a time frame to return calls. This is my question-if anyone other than a law enforcement officer was called and asshole by a McDonalds employee, do you think it would take this long to get a response? I personally an outraged that so far NOTHING has been done. My husbands partner is a new officer and new to the area. This is how she was welcomed. If anyone know how we can get the addressed immediately, please let me know. This should not be allowed to continue. I personally will not stop calling or emailing corporate until I get a resolution. Perhaps we all need to call and demand they do something so this doesn't happen again. Obviously whatever they are doing now isn't working.
