Angela Moseley was arrested after she used her car to try and block police chasing her boyfriend, Wayne Penick.

Beach City, OH – A 43-year-old Ohio woman is in jail after she used her car to try and block police who were chasing her boyfriend (video below).

The incident began at about 4 p.m. on Feb. 23 shortly after Massillon police tried to arrest 44-year-old Wayne Penick, WEWS reported.

Penick was wanted on a felony warrant for running from the police, and officers tried to take him into custody in the parking lot of a Menards in Massillon.

He resisted arrest and an officer deployed a Taser, WEWS reported.

"However it did not work. It was effective with the driver. However, he wasn't letting it stop him," Massillon Police Sergeant Nicholas Antonides said.

Penick fled in his 1977 Dodge Charger and led police on a high-speed chase, WEWS reported.

Dashcam video showed that at one point during the pursuit, a grey Cadillac driven by Penick’s girlfriend, Angela Mosely, tried to block the police car from pursuing the Charger.

The video showed that as Massillon Police Officer Anthony Crabtree tried to pass her, Moseley swerved to the left and caused Officer Crabtree to go briefly off the road, according to WEWS.

The officer was able to maintain control of the police cruiser.

"It was a brief thing. However, it was a big deal. It could have turned into something catastrophic," Sgt. Antonides told WEWS. "It could have cost an officer's life. It could have cost her life."

Police believe Moseley was on that road to try and block police from catching her boyfriend.

Investigators found that Penick had called Moseley for help from his car during the police chase, WEWS reported.

"He called her during the pursuit to come and interfere with us as we were pursuing him," Sgt. Antonides said.

Dashcam video showed Penick driving through several stop signs, driving on the wrong side of the road, and driving across several lawns as he fled.

Police said that 20 minutes into the pursuit, Penick drove over a fence and through a farm field and into a creek,

He tried to flee after he crashed but police caught up and Tased him again, WEWS reported.

Penick was booked into the Stark County Jail on charges of aggravated possession of drugs, failure to comply, obstructing official business, driving with a suspended license, resisting arrest, and reckless operation.

Moseley was arrested at work at about 3:30 p.m. Feb. on 25 by agents with the U.S. Marshals Violent Fugitive Task Force, according to The Canton Repository.

She has been charged with felonious assault, obstructing official business, felony obstructing justice, and two counts of failure to comply with police.

Moseley was held a $51,000 bond on Feb. 28, according to The Canton Repository.

Sgt. Antonides said it was fortunate that nobody was hurt when Moseley interfered during the wild chase.

"Don't do it again,” he said. “Don't get involved, even if it's a loved one. Now she's going to have equivalent charges and she's going to be in as much trouble as he is."
