It's a shame when officers lose their life!!!! I do believe that it should be mandatory death sentence!!!!!!! No plea bargain deals allowed!!!!!!!!!!! I am a Retired State Trooper from the South!!!!!! It has gotten to far out of hand!!!!!!!#

This is what happens when officers are forced to respond with "restraint." The perp hit the officer with a big rock in the head and shot him with his own weapon.

Sure, "stricter federal laws" are always the answer. Those state laws against shooting someone just don't seem to be working. Here's an idea that will probably get your (B.A.D''s) undies bunched up: a federal law that murdering a police officer is an automatic death penalty case, regardless of what state law says. Hey, it might not act as a deterrent, but it could cure recidivism.

Prayers for the officer, his family, and his LEO family...yet again.
