Benton, AR - Walking Dead star Norman Reedus took time to thank a Benton police officer by name via Twitter after he assisted his mom on February 3 after her car broke down. The tweet has since been liked over 13,000 times.
Benton Police officer Stovall was out working on the Benton Interstate Criminal Enforcement Patrol (BICEP) program when he came across a motorist who needed assistance when her car broke down. Officer Stovall jumped the car of the stranded motorist then helped her find a nearby mechanic to take a look at the vehicle. Officer Stovall then went on his way, having no idea that the woman he just helped was the mom of one of America's biggest actors.
Norman Reedus is well known for his role in the hit AMC show The Walking Dead, where he plays Daryl Dixon. He has also had roles in the Boondock Saints, done voice-overs for video games, and even spent time early in his career as a male model.

Since the tweet went out, Officer Stovall has expressed his shock. "I didn't know at the time that she was the mom of a big Hollywood movie and TV star," he said, "But I definitely know now!"
Thank you Norman Reedus for taking the time to give a shout-out to Benton officer Stovall. Using your platform to highlight the every day good works of our officers is very much appreciated.
