Waffle House Responds After Employee Refused Service To 4 Uniformed Officers

Waffle House corporate headquarters has responded after an employee refused to serve four police officers.

Jennings, LA – Waffle House’s corporate headquarters has issued an apology after four Jennings police officers were denied service at one of their restaurants on Saturday morning.

“It’s sad when 4 police officers are refused service at Waffle House in Jennings…for the simple fact we are police officers,” Jennings Police Officer Ryan Courville said in a Facebook post. “Corporate was called. Just thought I’d share.”

Jennings Police Chief Danny Semmes said he received a call from the Waffle House regional manager shortly after the incident occurred, and that he was “assured the situation would be handled appropriately,” according to his Facebook post.

Chief Semmes added that the regional manager told him that officers “are always welcome at Waffle House.”

Officer Courville agreed that the management team was “extremely helpful and apologetic” in the wake of the incident, according to a later Facebook post.

“Just wanted to clear up that it is not Waffle House or a management problem, but in fact an issue with one employee,” Officer Courville added. “I am by no means bad mouthing the entirety of the business.”

Waffle House’s corporate headquarters also released a statement regarding the refusal of service.

“Our management team has reached out to Chief Semmes and apologized for the incident,” the company said in a statement to KPLC. “We are conducting a full review, and once we get all the facts we will take appropriate action quickly.”

“Our goal is for every customer to have an enjoyable experience,” the corporate office continued. “If we do not deliver on that promise, we work hard to rebuild the customer’s trust.”

Chief Semmes said that the situation was regrettable, but that he hoped everyone could “move forward together.”

@LEO0301 I'm unsure where you got sucker punch from. A 60 year old literal neo-Nazi invaded my personal space and assaulted me by bumping his chest against mine in an intimidating manner. I feared for my safety and those around me after his apparent show of conflict. He bumped his chest against mine, so I bumped my elbow against his jaw. Very, very hard.

I can't change his racist ways, but hopefully he learned to step out of his fantasy world and not physically threaten someone half his age.

It is unfortunate that police can not eat at just any restaurant without repercussions. People need to keep their politics out of the workplace.

Hi_est is just another punk thug that thinks this is somehow inflating his image among real men, while in truth we see his little boy attitude and do nothing more than laugh at him.

Old? Perhaps chronologically, but young enough to take your punk ass over my knee. Racist? Not in the least, but I am pragmatic enough to know right from wrong, and you've been wrong every time you've ever posted here. Of course you talk tough on here, where you are safe, it's the only time you get the oopportunity.

@LEO0301 Someone has to deflate neo-Nazi boomer egos like yours. I've already offered to come spar with you when I'm in jacksonville. Trust me, it will be much healthier for you than a leisurely walk on the beach to catch a quick ass beating.

@Righton17 Oh, and stop all the tough talk.. You're not convincing anyone.

And you're a bitch for the whole "interesting he knew exactly who i was talking about" line. I see like your punk ass boy @LEO0301, you both hail from a generation where hinting at who you're talking about is somehow better than saying their name. Bitches.

@Righton17 Ah. So you're old. We should have never let you people use the internet. You're gullible and the perfect target of the media. The truth is its pretty safe out here statistically, safer than we have ever been. So are cops.

The reason you noticed it more in 2008 is because that was the turning point of social media. Plus you're racist, but that's another story.

You believe cops are in more danger because the media tells you they are. Act your age, not your shoe size, and research some statistics instead of getting your news from tabloids.

I am tired of seeing these stories of officers being disrespected at restaurants...If I was a restaurant owner, I would issue an immediate warning to my employees that if anyone of them did this, they will be fired immediately...NO QUESTIONS ASKED!!!!
