VIDEO: Park Worker Fired After Viral Video Shows Her Lying To 911

A video has gone viral of Judine Reed calling 911 and lying about a man trying to run her over by the gatehouse.

Georgetown, TX A gate attendant at a park near Lake Georgetown has been fired after a video of her screaming and behaving like a crazy person went viral (video below).

The incident occurred at about 8:47 p.m. on Aug. 25 when a man leaving the park accidentally took the wrong exit at Lake Georgetown and ended up on in the Cedar Breaks Park.

According to a Facebook post by Chris Hampshire, he initially tried to exit the park the wrong way, but when he saw the signs, he backed up and went the correct way.

Thats when Judine Reed, a gate attendant at the park, ran out and told him she was calling the police, KVUE reported.

At that point, Hampshire began recording the altercation. The video has since been viewed more than a million times.

The video showed Reed latched onto the hood of Hampshires vehicle and started screaming as she called police.

She told the 911 dispatcher that she was being run over by Hampshires vehicle as the video showed his car was not moving. She repeatedly shrieked for somebody named Mike to come rescue her.

Please, some guy in a car. And now hes videotaping me! Reed screamed into the telephone.

Maam, maam! Hes running me over. Maam hurry, please hurry! she shrieked, her voice getting higher and higher. Then she fake ran alongside the motionless vehicle as if she were being pulled, the video showed.

Hes a lunatic and hes videotaping me, she screamed to the dispatcher.

He just ran over [me] and hes still moving, Reed lied to the dispatcher, the video showed.

Two U.S. Army Corps of Engineers rangers heard the call to the police go out over the radio and responded to the guardhouse.

When Reed saw park rangers approaching from a distance, she started screaming like a banshee again, and pretended that she was injured.

Please hurry! Stop! Hurry! Hurry! she screamed to the park rangers, pretending that Hampshire was somehow assaulting her, even though the video showed he was inside his car and the vehicle was not moving.

When rangers arrived, they tried to hold Hampshire until the police arrived.

He told them they had no grounds to keep him and left, but then he was stopped shortly thereafter by police.

Police said the rangers did not observe any injuries to Ms. Reed or damage to the vehicle.

Hampshire said that everything turned out okay in the end.

Thankfully the cops were calm, after I showed them the video they understood my perspective completely and let me go, Hampshire wrote on his Facebook page.

Georgetown police confirmed they had received a call from Reed "advising she had been run over by an individual attempting to leave the park."

They said that after they stopped the driver on DB Wood Road, they "discussed the incident, reviewed his video recording and determined there was no probable cause that he committed the alleged offense of assault."

The park is managed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, and a representative from the park told KVUE that Reed was no longer employed by the park, KVUE reported.

"We are aware of the incident which occurred with one of our contracted gate attendants at Cedar Breaks Park, Lake Georgetown. We neither condone nor support this sort of behavior by our employees or contractors. The incident occurred on August 25 and the gate attendant is no longer at the park or providing contracted gate attendant duties at any of our lakes. Our goal is to offer a pleasant and safe recreation experience for all our guests, a spokesman for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers said in the statement after the incident.

Police said Reed declined medical treatment for her alleged injuries, and also refused to give a written statement about the incident.
