VIDEO: Official Tries To Take Over Traffic Stop, Tells Cops 'Shut The F- Up'

A Port Authority commissioner launched into a tirade when police refused to answer her inappropriate questions.

Bergen County, NJ – Dashcam footage showed the former chairwoman of the Ethics committee for Port Authority of New York and New Jersey on Easter weekend as she tried to bully two Tenafly police officers after they stopped a car her adult daughter was traveling in (video below).

No explanation was given for Port Authority Commissioner Caren Turner’s abrupt resignation on April 20, but police released the dashcam video of the commissioner appointed by former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie shortly afterward.

“The Port Authority has zero tolerance for ethics violations,” Port Authority Spokesman Ben Branham told Politico.

"This is the basis of the tough, systematic integrity reforms the Port Authority has implemented over the past year. Immediately upon learning of allegations that Commissioner Turner violated the board’s newly-enacted Code of Ethics, an inspector general investigation was begun. The investigation revealed conduct that was profoundly disturbing. After Commissioner Turner became aware of the investigation, she resigned,” Branham said.

Turner, 60, previously served as a finance adviser to Hillary Clinton, FOX News reported.

The altercation between the former commissioner and police occurred after two Tenafly police officers stopped a vehicle on Route 90W in Bergen County, and found the car to be unregistered, NJ.com reported.

The commissioner’s adult daughter was a backseat passenger in the vehicle, the video showed.

Turner’s daughter called her to pick up the vehicle occupants after police notified the driver that his vehicle was going to be impounded.

But when Turner arrived at the scene, she demanded that the officers debrief her on what had occurred.

“You’re just here as a ride, ok?” one officer asked her.

“No, I’m not,” Turner responded. “I’m here as a concerned citizen, and friend of the mayor, and I’ve been in Tenafly for 20 years.”

She then demanded to know why the vehicle was pulled over, and was told to speak with the adult driver regarding the reason why he was stopped.

“No, no, no, no, no,” she told the officer. “I need to know.”

“You’re not involved here,” the officer reminded the entitled commissioner. “You’re picking them up.”

Turner then allegedly tried flashing her Port Authority badge to gain the officers’ compliance.

“We don’t need to see credentials,” the second officer told her.

“I am the commissioner of the Port Authority, and I’m heading up over 4,000 police officers, okay?” she said, before again resuming her demands.

When one officer respectfully attempted to address her as “Miss,” the entitled woman swiftly corrected him.

“No, don’t call me ‘Miss.’ I’m Commissioner. Thank you,” she scolded.

The officer again directed Turner to speak with the driver.

“This does not involve you, one percent,” he attempted to explain.

“It does,” she argued. “I’m also an attorney.”

Having made no headway with the first officer, Turner then turned to his partner.

“Why is it so difficult to just say why they were being pulled over, and why the car is being towed?”

The second officer told her that everything had already been explained to the driver, and that the matter did not involve her.

Turner argued that she “needed” to hear the officers’ explanations, then began telling the officers that some of the vehicle occupants were “Ph.D.” students at ivy-league schools.

She complained that the officers had interrupted her Easter weekend, and had “ruined it for a lot of people.”

“I’m asking you a question, which is not being answered,” Turner continued to argue.

“It doesn’t need to be answered,” the officer said calmly. “It’s irrelevant. You have no right to know what is going on.”

Turner then alleged that the officers did not have confidence in their reasoning for the stop.

“I will be in with the Commissioner of Police of Tenafly,” she told the officer, as she backed him towards his patrol vehicle. The officer directed her to step away from him, as her tirade continued.

“I’m very disappointed in the way the two of you are acting,” Turner eventually told the officers. “You cannot even tell me, a mother living in Tenafly for 20 years, with two kids who went through the school system, what the problem is.”

Turner went on to call the situation “shocking,” and told the officers they were “pathetic” and “a disappointment.”

The officers then urged Turner to leave the area.

“You may not tell me when to take my child,” Turner retorted. “You may shut the f**k up.”

Tenafly Police Chief Robert Chamberlain declined to comment further on the incident, and said he would allow the footage to speak for itself, NJ.com reported.

That officer was awesome! It’s amazing how many times people tell you how they know this person or that person, and that is supposed to make a difference in what you do in your job. Many, many times I was told that someone knew the sheriff, and I would tell them yes I know the sheriff too. Only twice was I accused of something that I did not do , But still got wrote up for it. That was in 23 years.

Great Job Officers. You are a shining example of the majority. For you miss you should be ashamed of yourself and how you represented the people who elected you or hired you. You are lucky you were not arrested for obstruction of justice.

Hilary Clinton disciple. Liberals with their white privilege. Kudos to these fine officers for 'sticking to their guns'. Seems she should have learned a valuable lesson from this experience, but I doubt it. She'll be in the front row of the next BLM march with a sign saying "Fuck the Police!"

What amazing restraint those officers had for listening to this entitled bitchy snowflake run her nasty mouth. Hugs for those two officers.

this woman seems completely irrational and I believe if she is who she says she is she should be fired immediately.

Couldn't they have just charged her with interfering with a police investigation.

This woman was out of line. She is the reason why some young people have no respect for authorities and laws. Who cares who she is, where her daughter and friends go to school. Blah, blah blah! What a disgusting person and I am glad she lost her job.

OMG, can't believe the audacity of that woman just because she thinks that she is entitled because she is a "Commissioner". Wow, so glad that she resigned as they don't need the likes of her in their office. The two officers showed much professionalism and restraint. Not sure that I would have been able to deal with her like they did. Kudo to them. Worked for Hillary -- Well that says alot -- two women who thought they were "Entitled" --LOL

Outstanding job gentlemen! Handled like true professionals. I would have shut her down much earlier, but allowing her to run her mouth was like putting the icing on the cake (2 layer). lol

My late husband's answer to the "I know the chief, the mayor, etc" was "Do you know me?" When the answer was no, he conversation ending reply was "then you don't know the right people"

This overly self important bitch needed to see what the backseat of a patrol car looked like. I commend the officers for their patience. Had it been me I would have arrested her for every charge I could think of, then made up a few, just to try to keep her in a cell for the weekend. I truly hope she was put in her place when she started making waves. Every jerk connected to the Clinton's seems to make everyone else's world more miserable.

This broad is "a disappointment" to me as a woman, as an elected official, and as someone who thinks it's cool to throw names around.

Kudos to the officers. I would have been shouting after explaining to her for the 5th time. Very respectful young men. They should get a commendation.

Wow!! Those officers had waaaay more patience than i would have had in dealing with that entitled jerk!! It’s too bad she was allowed to resign. After a stunt like that, she should have been fired!! Great job, Officers!!

Praise to those very patient and professional police officers....they are doing their job and don't need an ego-fed mom telling him how to do it...if she has a problem with it..she can contact his supervisor..'nuf said...she should not use her position to intimidate...especially when the kids(which included her daughter) were violating a law...

EXACTLY. Whoa...we're all suppose to bow because you are a commissioner. Who cares? Helicopter parent/friend to the rescue. Once again, let the kids be accountable instead of rescued.

Hope the 2 cops got a bonus for handling this POCrap lady who thinks she all that cuz she got $$$, kids go to expensive, private schools, PHD's (piled higher& deeper). She needs a reality check. You are not above us or they are not above law. Great role model for her kids. And the cycle continues.

The officers showed great restraint. She was interfering with a PO and could have found herself cuffed and stuffed in the cruiser. That would have been good.

Oh, your post is so telling. You stated "I would have arrested her for every charge I could think of, then made up a few, ". So you're admitting that you lie and make up charges. How fabulous for me to hear you admit this. Now, tell me why should we respect and trust the police? I'm sure you're not the only one making up charges; it's probably done by most of you Blues. And you question why I don't like cops? It's called BULLYING and CORRUPTION. I'm guessing that most of you went into this career so that you could bully everyone else because you didn't do well in school and you wanted to get back at the smart kids.
