Birmingham, AL - A man was shot and killed after an argument at a Birmingham gas station on Friday, November 10.
The incident occurred at the Texaco gas station located in the 400 block of Oporto Madrid Boulevard, according to WVTM13 .
Police said that Rodney Lee Williams, age 35, of Center Point, entered the store to purchase some items, and got into an argument with a store employee.
Williams threatened to kill the clerk and another clerk responded with a blast of pepper spray.
Williams responded by pulling out his gun, and the clerk then shot him multiple times in the abdomen.
Birmingham Police Sgt. Bryan Shelton told CBS 42, “Based on information our investigators have, we believe the shooting will be ruled justifiable."
"The ultimate decision falls to the District Attorney’s office. We have to make better decisions, even knowing when to walk away. Truly unfortunate.”
The incident was captured on surveillance video.
