VIDEO: Five Finger Death Punch's New Music Video Highlights The Thin Blue Line

Five Finger Death Punch dedicated their newest music video to law enforcement officers and first responders.

Five Finger Death Punch has released a powerful music video depicting the grave realities police officers encounter as they place their lives on the line in service to their communities, as well as the deep bond uniting those who wear the badge (video below).

The band dedicated the video for their new single, When The Seasons Change, to first responders and law enforcement officers around the globe.

The hard-hitting video showed two officers as they joked with each other outside the station while walking out to their patrol vehicle, then flashed to scenes of the life-and-death gun battle they were unknowingly headed into.

Images of the officers smiling and wrestling over the patrol car keys were spliced with clips of masked gunmen opening fire on them, then leaving them both lying motionless in an empty dirt lot.

Realistically, were not living in a world where everybodys got flowers and smiling and are peaceful or [singing] Kumbaya, guitarist Zoltan Bathory told Loudwire back in June.

So, for those who realize this is not reality, you have to accept that each city has a police force, and they are really that thin blue line, that thin layer of ice on a deep ocean of f--king chaos, and savagely things can happen to them, he said.

The video featured photos of fallen law enforcement officers, including Las Vegas Police Officer Charleston Hartford, an Army veteran who was murdered during the 2017 Las Vegas massacre while using his own body as shield to protect others.

It concluded with an image of a Thin Blue Line Flag.

Unfortunately, every 58 hours a police officer who believes in something sacrifices everything and dies in the line of duty, Bathory wrote in a Facebook post on Sep. 11.

The post also announced the bands $95,000 donation to C.O.P.S, an organization that helps the families of fallen law enforcement officers.

It was follow-through for a commitment Bathory made in June, when he announced that the heavy metal band planned to donate a portion of ticket proceeds from their And Justice for None tour to the organization.

I personally look at [the police] and think they are special people who deserve the respect and I dont know that the general population understands what they go through, the Hungarian-born guitarist explained. I feel that they are not getting the respect that they deserve.

The Concerns of Police Survivors organization, which was established in 1984, provides peer support, scholarship opportunities, childrens camps, counseling services, and support through trial and parole processes, according to the C.O.P.S. website.

"C.O.P.S. is grateful to be the recipient of such a generous donation from Five Finger Death Punch, C.O.P.S. Executive Director Dianne Bernhard told Loudwire. We not only appreciate their amazing musical talent, but their support for surviving families and co-workers of America's law enforcement truly sets them apart. Thank you on behalf of over 47,000 survivors!"

Bathory commended those who have chosen to protect and serve, even when some members of society fail to recognize their sacrifices.

There are certain people who will sign up and do this job, he said. I dont have to look at my girlfriend and you dont have to look at your family and think, This could be my day.

These guys, they go to work and realize they might not come home. They sign up for that and that is respectable, Bathory said.

Five Finger Death Punchs summer tour with co-headliner Breaking Benjamin was so successful, the bands decided to pair up for another run this fall, according to their website.

The fall tour, with special guests Bad Wolves, In Flames, and From Ashes to New, kicks off in Louisville, Kentucky on Sep. 29.

I think I found a new music group. I've heard the name, but I'd I'd never heard them until now. I'll have to watch it a few more times, since it's hard to watch when your eyes are leaking.
