Miami Beach, FL – The Miami Beach Police Department (MBPD) has launched an internal investigation after one of its uniformed officers made a cameo appearance in a video featuring a scantily-clad Playboy model and two of her friends (video below).
One video showed Miami Beach Police Officer William Beeker as he followed the three handcuffed models - Maddy Belle, Julianne Kissinger, and Playboy cover-model Francia James - up to the front doors of police headquarters during a fake arrest scene, the New York Post reported.
The three lingerie-clad women appeared downtrodden as they stumbled up the steps in their high heels and black garter belts.
“Do you like bad girls or good girls?” James captioned the Instagram video. “Who’s gonna bail us out?”
A second video showed the models surrounding Officer Beeker as he sat on an ATV outside the department headquarters, the New York Post reported.
“Thank you, Officer Bill, for letting us go,” they said.
“No problem,” the officer replied. “Enjoy the community I like to protect and serve. Have a good day, ladies.”
Officer Beeker then sped away on the ATV, according to the Miami Herald.
It was unclear if he was on duty at the time the video was made.
The MBPD became aware of the videos shortly after they were posted online on Monday.
“On Monday, October 7th the Department was made aware of a video posted to social media,” Miami Beach Police Officer Ernesto Rodriguez told WSVN in a statement.
“Chief Richard Clements immediately launched an Internal Affairs investigation and placed Officer William Beeker in an administrative capacity while the investigation takes its course,” Officer Rodriguez added.
Miami Beach Commissioner John Elizabeth Aleman issued a scathing statement about the incident in a social media post, the Miami Herald reported.
“This is absolutely offensive and I cannot believe an officer of our force would engage in something like this,” Aleman raged. “With as many challenges as we face as a community, how dare he? It’s a mockery of all of our public servants who strive to protect and bring dignity to our city. I’m saddened and angry.”
