VIDEO: Boston Mob Beats Corrections Officer, So Mayor Orders Clean Sweep

A Suffolk County corrections officer was brutally beaten in the street in front of the detention center on Thursday.

Boston, MA – A Suffolk County corrections officer was beaten in the street in front of his workplace on Thursday morning, and by Thursday, police had begun making sweeping arrests in the area where the attack happened (video below).

The Suffolk County Sheriff’s Department said the corrections officer, whose name has been withheld, was on his way to work at about 7 a.m. when he encountered an angry mob and was beaten, WCVB reported.

The corrections officer was parked in his personal vehicle in front of the Suffolk County House of Correction on Atkinson Street when the attack occurred.

Surveillance video from a nearby building showed that a man reached into the corrections officer’s car and punched him.

When the corrections officer got out of his car to confront his attacker, he was surrounded and beaten with fists and at least one pipe, WCVB reported.

The corrections officer was dragged away from his vehicle and beaten more, then robbed of his glasses, watch, and cell phone.

“I’ve never seen a pack of animals jump somebody like that this is something that I never though I see anything like that,” the officer’s father told WCVB.

His son told responding Boston Police Department officers that one of his five attackers was armed with a metal pipe, according to WHDH.

A short while later, Boston police arrested 45-year-old Torre Jenkins for the attack and recovered the metal pipe that was used to beat the corrections officer, WCVB reported.

The Correction Officers Local 419 released a statement denouncing the attack and said the area around the detention center has become “a haven for crime, clearly without recourse, and is based on the neglect from the city.”

The union called the conditions around the facility a “quality of life issue” and called for the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office to “make a stand” with a swift, aggressive prosecution of those involved, WHDH reported.

Union spokesman Jonathan Corey said it wasn’t the first time a corrections officer had problems outside their office, WCVB reported.

“The Local is outraged that the mecca of crime within the city of Boston has been brought to our front door with disregard for anyone else’s safety,” Corey said.

Hours after the attack, Boston Mayor Martin J. Walsh and Boston Police Commissioner William Gross ordered officers to conduct “Operation Clean Sweep” on the stretch of roadway where the corrections officer was attacked, known as part of the city’s “Methadone Mile” because of all the druggies and homeless that live there.

“They just corralled us all on the street in between a whole bunch of police officers on that end and a whole bunch on this end,” one man who was there told WHDH. “They told us we couldn’t leave until they started checking us all out and finding out if we had warrants and stuff like that.”

Fifteen arrests were made for outstanding warrants and drug offenses, WCVB reported.

Numerous other people were taken to shelter or given medical attention during the quick clean up on Atkinson, WHDH reported.

Afterward, the city literally sent in a street sweeper to clear the needles, trash, and debris from the area.

“Methadone Mile”.

That 'bout says it all. Keep up the sweeps long enough and “Methadone Mile” will be just “Mile”.

Ratchet Rachael Rollins doesn't belief in charging property or drug crimes, nor bail for lowlifes claiming they do show up for court. In the sweep many with outstanding warrants were rounded up.

Fricking animals. Go get some payback boys. Otherwise, it’s going to happen again and again to other officers.

I believe it takes an act of God along with cooperation from satan to get a carry permit in Mass. 115 grains + of lead and copper could have saved serious bodily injury,

This happened in front of the Correctional Center no one saw this from inside? Sad it took for this to happen before they cleaned it up. It should of never gotten that bad. Praying for this Officer to make a full recovery.💙🇺🇸

Why get out of the car? Would you get out with a pack of hyenas around? Primates attack in packs as this is "what they do" . Best to keep moving and get out of area to final destination ....which was not the middle of the road in the middle of town.

It is always the same demographic. They pack up like hyenas. Cowards and sub-human savages. As an LEO back in the day when we could actually be cops (protect the innocent and bring fire and fury upon the thugs), I was never jumped by whites or Asians, but had to go to stick time on numerous times against multiple black attackers. Small wonder they get shot.

The current Suffolk county DA, just elected with backing from Soros, has already said she will not prosecute misdemeanors, simple possession, shoplifting, assault, or assault on a police officer. Enjoy Boston, this is your future, just like San Francisco, Los Angeles, or San Diego. Don't step on that needle!

Okay, so he get out of his car way outnumbered and probably in uniform in the worst neighborhood on the city and take a swing at a gangsta with his 20 friends watching. That's not too smart.

Kudos to Boston PD for taking action. Shame on city officials for allowing an Officer to be seriously hurt before action was taken. I'll pray for the Officer's recovery. I guess we know what his fight or flight mode goes to. Smart or not he stood up for himself. NYC could learn something from the this.

Police need to clean up areas like this and put all the "animals" in cages. American cities just can NOT tolerate this type stuff.

Glad to see Boston taking back a bit of control. Is it just me, or does anyone else notice that over the last few months a few judges, a few politicians, and a few police officials around the country are finally stepping up and doing what's right instead of caving to the liberals? Wars have been fought for less than what our LEO's have had to endure over the past several years. And it has been war against them. Maybe it's the beginning of a turnaround?

Looks like the guard was expecting to confront only the one who sucker punched him. Sorry about this but it looked like a rabid bunch of rats swarming over any thing that is down. Sorry to say the basic human actions are gone. Drugs and crime and homeless what have we become?

Welcome once again to Democrat control. Coddling criminals only feeds the pack mentality. The Dems whine about all their disadvantage yet the SAME GROUP makes the SAME DECISIONS over and over again, criminals AND Dems!!!

Really??? IT took a brutal beating to clean and sweep the area??? Sounds like it should be a "weekly endeavor" until the area is cleaned and back to being "a Mile." I once thought about visiting Boston...is it all like this? Maybe I should change my direction....might also add, they should DO THE SWEEP in San Francisco and Seattle also.....

Fernando4- "Sanctimony-the action or practice of acting as if one were morally superior to other people".

You see the video for yourself Fernando. Seems pretty clear cut.....and yet you worry about the way these animals /primates are described by readers/viewers who see the same video you just did?! By shaming and scolding any viewer and their own viewpoint do you really think anyone here values your opinion ? Do you really think you will shame someone to change their own behaviors or mindset? Where is your moral outrage over what you just saw in the video ???? Are these behaviors you view somehow justified in your mind? Many of us here on this site have seen the same psychotic animal like behaviors from this same group far too many times and over years . Please spare us your sermon and sanctimony as you are preaching to the wrong crowd. Personally, I feel the media , liberals and Democrats have covered up for blacks for far too often and for far too long. I am relieved when technology is now showcasing just how low these folks are and for everyone else to see. PC be damned.

I spent 2 yrs as a Corrections officer in the OLD Charles St Jail.......I rarely even then, wore my uniform to work. Boston, if it doesn't get it act together, will turn into another hell like Detroit or Chicago. There are judges that coddle the criminals, and a DA that hates cops and refuses to do their job of prosecuting criminals. I'm glad I don't live or work in Boston anymore.

This is getting way too far out of hand, No idea why this guy got out of the car but he did and (even appears to throw first blow once hes out of the car) and now this happened, They need to be sweeping this area big time, every infraction needs to be a jail able offense, show them this will not be tolerated! We used to do it at my former department if we deemed a spot like a bar or gathering area to be considered a trouble spot, All kinds of extra attention! arrest all you can for whatever legit offense you could until they got the hint. If it was a bar sit up the street 5 cars deep (Salmon Run) and make DUI stops for days until the damn place was a ghost town from nobody wanting to catch a DUI. But at this rate only thing these criminals understand is swift and blinding violence and it is only going to get worse if they do not take hold and get a handle on it using every legal tool at their disposal, Back in the 80's when I was growing up in LA Crash was just getting started and let me tell you those dude did not play no games, did it stop violence NO but did it detour some larger things from happening when they were out and about YES. Time to go old school man stop the hug a thug bullshit and roll up sleeves and get to work!
