Toilet Paper Stolen From Police Dept Restroom Amid Toilet Paper Hoarding Crisis

Utah police department has its toilet paper gone missing.

Kaysville, UT – A Utah police department had all of its toilet paper swiped from its public restrooms, leading them to believe the theft was due to the coronavirus.

“For those of you preparing for the Coronavirus, what is the need for the hoarding of toilet paper?” the Kaysville Police Department stated in a Facebook post.

“The Kaysville Community must be in a state of crisis that someone has resorted to obtaining all the toilet paper from the KPD’s public restrooms," the post said.

"We love our community and we are here to serve you, but cops need toilet paper too! Let’s go back to the days of obsessing over power poles,” the post concluded

The Kaysville Police Department said in a Twitter post that the community had responded to its crisis.

“Update to the toilet paper crisis!” the police tweet read. “A kind citizen just donated toilet paper to the police department advising “you need this more than I do.”

Kaysville Police Officer Joshua Danielson said that authorities realized there was a shortage when he received a complaint that the men’s restroom was “consistently devoid of toilet paper,” according to KSL.

Officer Danielson said he thinks the women’s restroom was not the target of the thieves because the department didn’t receive any complaints about it. He said police will speak with the workers who stock the restrooms and find out if the lack of toilet paper is out of the ordinary, according to KSL.

Officer Danielson said the department did have a detective team “on stand-by” if it became necessary,” but said that hasn’t happened as of yet.

CNN reported that Utah reported its first case of the coronavirus. That Utah resident was from Davis County, which is the same county as the Kaysville Police Department.

The Utah resident is believed to have contracted the coronavirus on a Grand Princess cruise ship, CNN reported. That resident was at home in isolation.

Not sure how "kind' this citizen was with that comment. I'm thinking the police posted the tweet as a reminder of how callous people can be, while not offering a reason for cop haters to chime in.

The Kaysville Police Chief has authorized unlimited OT until this crime has been solved. He was initially hesitant to do so during a budget crisis, but after the mayor had taco bell for lunch, and found no TP, he ordered the chief to leave no stone untouched until they solved this crime!

Sounds like a shitty case to investigate.

They have a couple of leads from a Mr. Whipple of the Charmin Company. In regards to them, #1 petered as it leaked out so they are focusing on #2 possibly a John Bidet.

I'm sure they'll get to the bottom of this and wipe out the responsible party.

They're lucky in this "T.P. Caper" that the thief didn't take the toilet too. They would have nothing to go on!

Only 32,000 people in Kaysville. Need an emergency court order for door-to-door "ass-checks". Every clean ass becomes a suspect. Should also see if this is the beginning of a major crime operation - stealing TP in Kaysville and neighboring towns. Could be the biggest bust in Kaysville in years. ( )( ) ( )( ) ( )( ) "Do you recognize who you saw in the restroom??" :-) I crack myself up.

The article and tweets were written tongue in cheek.
Whoops! Whoa!
I almost forgot to say "not that there is anything wrong with that!"
