Sheriff Mike Andrews said, “Years of experience has taught me not to speculate about why a collision happened too soon. Specialists come in and reconstruct what happened, the years have taught me. Scuff marks, yawl marks; I leave it to those guys.”
The accident is still under investigation. Michael Andrews, Durham County Sheriff, said "everyone involved appreciates the community's support and prayers for the officers' full recovery."
