Report: Shooter Opened Fire, Killed Himself After Losing Video Game Tournament

The Jacksonville Landing mass shooter allegedly opened fire after losing a video game tournament.

Jacksonville, FL - A gunman opened fire and shot 11 people at a Madden 19 video game tournament at Jacksonville Landing on Sunday.

LA Times reports that the gunman was a video gamer who participated in the tournament and lost.

Steven Steveyj Javaruski told the Times that the shooter targeted a few people and killed two or three before fatally shooting himself.

At a press conference, authorities said that they were still working on confirming the identity of the gunman.

Video of the tournament was released which captured audio of the gunshots and screaming.

Authorities have said that they are aware of the video and are asking for any more video to be forwarded to them.

The Sheriff's Office has said that there is no longer a threat with the lone gunman dead.

Mall. "Gun Free Zone". Signs sure work, don't they? Kid was a member of the "resistance" and a liberal. Don't ban guns: ban liberals.

I think stricter federal gun control laws would have prevented this tragedy.

@Fol that's how the news is supposed to work, clown. It was a Twitch streamed event at a video game tournament. If the news didn't put it out first, then the picture of this terrorist would have already been all over YouTube, Twitch, and Reddit.

I always got trophies. They even let me wear a Sailor Moon outfit and told me I was an Intel Officer, going under the name Commander Colon.
