Washington, DC - President Donald Trump has announced that Wednesday would be a big national security day with the announcement that the border wall he has been promoting would be built. Also planned are other restrictions for when people are allowed entry into the U.S., and an increase in enforcement.
It all started with a tweet:
Big day planned on NATIONAL SECURITY tomorrow. Among many other things, we will build the wall!

The Associated Press is reporting that it's not just a wall that President Trump will be announcing, it's a major overhaul to domestic immigration enforcement policy. The details haven't been announced yet, but it's expected that the president will be announcing his nationwide plan for deporting illegal immigrants. Fox News also reports that President Trump is expected to announce the hiring of 5,000 new Border Patrol agents.
Reuters reports that all entries into the U.S. from Iraq, Iran, Syria, Yemen, Somalia, Sudan and Libya are expected to be banned. The order will ban anybody who engaged in bigotry, honor killings, violence against women and persecuted other religions.
President Trump has been moving faster than any other president in recent history with making massive overhauls as soon as he entered office. Signing order after order, the president has been tenaciously going after many of the hallmarks of President Obama's administration.
Specifics on President Trump's plans will be released later on Wednesday, and they are sure to cause an uproar among his critics.
If the border wall is built, price estimates place it at $10 billion on the low-end for a single-layer wall.
