Mt. Juliet, TN – An 18-year-old man was caught living in the attic of a home while he was sneaking down to see the 14-year-old girl who lived there.
What made it worse was that after he was caught the first time, the man went back and snuck in again a week later, WTVF reported.
A woman returned her Wilson County home one evening in early June and found a strange man standing at the top of the stairs inside her home.
She yelled at the man and called the police, but the man ran into her daughter’s bedroom, WTVF reported.
It turned out that the man had been living in the attic of the home – entering and exiting through the access in the ceiling of her 14-year-old daughter’s bedroom, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
Police said that 18-year-old Matthew C. Castro had been sneaking out of the attic at night to spend time with the much-younger girl.
A probable cause affidavit filed in the case said the 14 year old has run away in the past and was the subject of multiple “unruly child investigations,” the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported.
Castro was arrested and charged with aggravated criminal trespass.
He was also warned that he was not allowed to have any contact with his 14-year-old paramour, WTVF said.
But that didn’t stop the Castro from trying to see the girl.
Neighbors saw him walking up to the house a week later and called the police, according to WTVF.
Police conducted an exhaustive search of the home and found Castro, once again, in the attic.
Castro resisted arrest and officers had to deploy a Taser on him to take him into custody, WTVF reported.
He was arrested again and charged with trespassing, unlawfully entering a home, and violating a protection order, in addition to the original trespassing charge.
