Off-Duty Officer Beaten And Robbed At Scene Of Car Crash

The Newark police said an off-duty officer was attacked and robbed on Monday night.

Newark, NJ – Authorities are seeking the public’s help in finding the people who attacked an off-duty police officer after he was involved in a car crash on Monday night in Newark.

Police said the Newark police officer was driving his own vehicle when he was involved in a collision with another vehicle near the intersection of Bloomfield and Mount Prospect avenues at about 11:05 pm on May 7, according to U.S. News and World Report.

RLS Media reported that the officer exited his vehicle when he saw a person on the ground

The 30-year-old officer told investigators that as he approached, he was attacked by multiple people, and robbed of his cell phone, USA Today reported in their North Jersey edition.

The officer identified himself to his attackers as a Newark police officer, but that didn’t stop the assault.

The attackers and the driver of the other vehicle fled the scene of the crash on foot, U.S. News and World Report reported.

The injured off-duty officer was transported to University Hospital, and treated for his injuries, NJ.com reported.

Police have not released the name of the injured officer. They have released that the officer's injuries were minor in nature.

Police said an investigation into the assault and robbery is ongoing, according to USA Today.

No description have been released for the suspects.

The Newark police have asked for the public’s assistance in learning more about what happened to the officer, and identifying his attackers. Anyone with information is asked to call the department's 24-hour tip line at 1-877-695-8477 or 1-877-695-486.

Once the perpetrators are found and arrested, they need to be incarcerated, for the rest of their nasty, unnatural lives. Violence is running amok, all over the world. Every nation on this planet is being victimized by those so-called humans who think they can just commit any atrocity, whenever they choose, no matter who is their intended victim. If it were not for the men and women, who are members of the world's law enforcement community, all the rest of us could just bend over and kiss our sweet posteriors " good bye ".

My heart and hand is out to all who serve our nation, by upholding the laws which makes our civilization stay safe. Every, single, day they go out to keep us safe, knowing, full well, they are in the front lines, against the evil that some humans cause the rest of us. God bless all our police men and women, whatever their tasks may be.

I lived not to far from that area when I was a kid. Even then you had to be careful with certain people, if you know what I mean.
