A video has been circulating around the internet the past few days that appears to show police officer, allegedly Frederick Soldaat, beating up and raping a 15 year old girl. Many anti-cop news sites, radio stations, and social media are going wild over this video, reporting that an NYPD cop raped a 15 -year-old girl in a jail cell. That's a lie.
On August 30th 2016, a South African police officer was caught raping a 15-year-old girl on camera inside of a jail cell. The security camera footage was released earlier this week purporting to be either Soldaat or an NYPD officer and has been shared millions of times across Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and Instagram.
According to the Askkissy.com blog, the video was shared by rapper Meek Mill who has 10.3 million followers, rapper Lil Scrappy who has 1.2 million followers, and several other popular personalities.
As soon as the video was released, people all over social media started up rumors that the officer in the video is NYPD and that the rape occurred in New York, NY . This is not true at all. The footage is clearly not from NYPD, but it's not clear if the footage is from South Africa.
According to Cape Town News 24, The officer involved in the video is 47 year old Cape Town Warrant officer Frederick Soldaat. The girl was reportedly taken to the police station after an altercation with her parents. Frederick Soldaat then raped her in the jail cell. The Independent Police Investigative Directorate (Cape Town's Internal Affairs) is already investigating the matter.
We hope that the dirtbag officer is prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law just as much as you do.
We are not going to post the video on here because it shows a child getting raped. People who are posting this video should be ashamed of themselves not only for spreading a lie about police, but for spreading a video showing the rape of a child. We are just clarifying that this did not involve an American law enforcement officer.
This week we have all seen what false information can do to an entire city. The shooting of Keith Scott was falsely spun by the media as soon as it happened. All of the misinformation led to several nights of rioting and looting. All of that, just because of the nonsense that people initially heard about the shooting. No amount of hard physical evidence could change their minds. It's been almost a week since the shooting and North Carolina is still under a state of emergency.
The actions Frederick Soldaat are disgusting and we expect the South African authorities to deal with him appropriately. Please share this story to counter the millions of views that the "NYPD Officer Raping Teen Girl" video is getting.
