NFL Quarterback Arrested For Beating Girlfriend, Breaking Her Face

The Seattle Seahawks cut quarterback Trevone Boykin on Wednesday, after he allegedly beat and choked his girlfriend.

Mansfield, TX – Now-former Seattle Seahawks quarterback Trevone Boykin has been arrested for aggravated assault, after he allegedly beat his longtime girlfriend, and left her with a broken jaw.

Boykin, 24, was arrested on Wednesday, just one day after the Seahawks cut him from the team in the midst of the ongoing investigation, the NFL reported.

He has been accused of attacking his girlfriend, Shabrika Bailey, at his home on Tuesday night, after the couple argued over a text message on her phone, she told WFAA.

When she refused to unlock her phone for him to examine it, Boykin began to choke her, she said.

“I remember him choking me and I'm trying to calm him down. And I just couldn't. And I blacked out. I just couldn't calm him down at all,” Bailey said. "The pressure was just hard. The pressure got hard to where I just remember just collapsing completely.”

When she regained consciousness, Bailey realized she was severely injured.

“I just woke up in a puddle of blood on the kitchen floor,” she told WFAA. “My whole right side was full of blood on the kitchen floor."

Boykin then dragged her into his bathroom, where he stripped off her clothing and attempted to clean up her injuries, she said.

“I've never seen that much blood,” Bailey recalled. “I thought I was bleeding from somewhere else, cause it was so much blood.”

He waited until the following day to take her to a hospital.

"His first suggestion was to say that I fell,” Bailey said. “Then he suggested that I got beat up by a girl, or jumped. Then he suggested that I fell again.”

“Of course his football career is on the line. That's his main goal, just 'my football career is on the line,'" she told WFAA.

Bailey explained that Boykin took off when medical personnel separated them, and began asking questions about her injuries.

He never returned, she said.

Bailey’s jaw was broken in two places. The swelling from her injuries restricted her airway, resulting in her being airlifted to a Dallas hospital for further treatment.

She was released from the hospital three days later – and with her jaw wired shut, she broke her silence.

Boykin vehemently denied Bailey’s allegations.

“I want to be clear that the story is false,” he said in a statement, according to WFAA.

"This woman has lied about me and it has cost me my job,” Boykin added. “This person has fabricated a story and I am suffering the consequences. I will let the legal system run its course and I know I will be vindicated."

Surveillance cameras inside the residence captured the assault, and the footage has been recovered by investigators, according to TMZ.

Boykin was being held on a second-degree felony count of aggravated assault with serious bodily injury, which is punishable by two to 20 years, NBC reported.

Criminal-filled?the NFL is below the national average of felonies. Do you just speak before you know what you're saying is right or wrong?

That is why we are always hearing stories like this eh? What world are you living in? The one where you get to put football before patriotism I'm sure.

Because we hear everything celebrities do. They're celebrities. Further, you know exactly why this article is on this shill (probably Russian) site. This case has absolutely nothing to do with blue lives matter, but it's great for exciting a base that's looking for this kind of news.

Any man that beats up on any woman Is shameful.and a woman who stays with a man that beats up on her is even worst.Color has nothing to do with it because domestic abuse is not race specific.

Unacceptable behavior on a rather consistent basis from so called 'professional athletes that are role models for our youth. There is a responsibility at this level of exposure from the NFL and the players. All I see or hear from them is negative. Kneeling for the flag, anti-police, beating women, shootouts, drugs, theft, etc. This image is sending a message and you want to stand behind it?

@Hannibal
Cops commit the same crimes though, right? All the crimes you listed, there's a corresponding article on here about a cop convicted of it. The point is, there are bad people in every facet of society. The NFL happens to have less than the national average, so they are statistically better than average.

You just proved that cops, being role models, should be sending a better message to kids. Good job.

And no one knelt for the flag. The knelt against police brutality, and are honoring dead vets by kneeling, instead of sitting on the bench. The kneel was actually brought about by an NFL player who is also a vet who respected Kap's protest.

You should learn more about why you're mad at those kneeling.

You can troll me all you want. The fact remains that the NFL loves their criminal pieces of shit and support anti-police sentiment. Whatever their reasons are (probably money) I have already made a perfect case for why you are full of shit. You tried to turn it around on me but it is not apples to apples. Keep supporting the NFL and watching your football like so many other Americans today you have no honor, no patriotism or loyalty to those who hold the line. It is my conclusion that you are here for one purpose. To troll people who support LEOs. I laugh at fools like you. I'd like to see how many of those NFL players would put their life on the line to rescue you from the midst of a violent crime. There are heroes and there football players. Not even close.

I can like football and be a patriot at the same time. In fact, I'm a Navy vet. 8 years active, 3 reserve.

How much civil time have you served, since we're questioning patriotism?

As Mr. Boykin professes his innocense, I quote from the narrative above, "Surveillance cameras inside the residence captured the assault, and the footage has been recovered by investigators, according to TMZ." Perhaps Mr. Boykin forgot that there was surveillance INSIDE HIS HOME WHERE THE BRUTAL ASSAULT TOOK PLACE!!! How much of an idiot is this man? He beats her up in front of his own security system, in which the police has recovered the video as evidence! Enjoy prison buddy, you just punted away your football career!

People can say they are a vet in a chat room all day long. I still think it's just a troll. Can you like football? Sure, there is always college ball. But that isn't really the point here is it. Can a vet lose patriotism? Of course they can. Why not? Does being a vet make you super patriot? It does as long as your remain one. Personally, I don't believe you are a vet. I think you are a liar and a troll.

@Hannibal soooo your answer is, you've served no civil time whatsoever? Because you sure did tapdance out of that question.

You question my patriotism, I answer. I question yours, and you yell "I don't believe you!" Fine, but answer the question. How much of your life have you spent riding off of others that swore an oath to the country? According to you, Americans like me have no honor, no patriotism, and no loyalty to those who hold the line. So, @Hannibal...how long have you held the line? My guess, and I'm probably right, is zero time.

Make sure you shine those tap shoes up nice, bro. it makes for a flashier stage exit.

Any vet I know wouldn't be telling people the owe them something because they served. They are real men. They are real heroes. They don't need to pretend these things and tell people how great they are. That is how I know what a piece of shit you are.
