New DA Will Start Tossing Gun, Drug Charges That Stem From Legit Traffic Stops

Sandy Malone

San Francisco District Attorney Chesa Boudin announced several policy changes in his office on Friday.

San Francisco, CA – Notoriously anti-police San Francisco District Attorney Chesa Boudin announced a host of criminal justice reforms on Friday that will, among other things, allow gun-toting criminals to stay on the streets.

"Today we take action. We send a message that is loud and clear to the police department and to communities of color. We will no longer participate in, condone, tolerate or amplify racist police tactics," Boudin told reporters at a press conference on Feb. 28, KTVU reported.

The district attorney announced that San Francisco prosecutors will no longer charge suspects for contraband found by police during “stop-and-frisk” searches conducted during the course of another interaction.

That means that going forward, if officers find a gun or drugs inside a vehicle while conducting a traffic stop for a vehicle violation, for example, the district attorney’s office won’t charge the person for the illegal gun or drugs, KTVU reported.

Boudin also announced that the district attorney’s office would no longer apply California’s three-strike law.

And he made good on a campaign promise to do away with gang enhancements to charges that frequently put gang members behind bars for many years longer than called for by the crime they committed, according to KTVU.

Local law enforcement was furious about the policy changes, and the police union released a statement to that effect.

"In his short tenure, Chesa Boudin has demonstrated that he is a clear and present danger to the law-abiding residents, businesses and visitors of San Francisco,” San Francisco Police Officer's Association President Tony Montoya said. “Get pulled over and have an illegal handgun or AR-15? No problem, Boudin will throw your case out. Have 10 pounds of Meth all in small plastic bags ready for sale? No problem, Boudin will toss that case too.”

“It’s unconscionable that Boudin would let someone with an illegal gun go free, only to allow them the opportunity to arm themselves again. Chesa Boudin is emboldening criminals and we are all going to pay a steep price for his absurd policies,” Montoya added.

The controversial new district attorney fired several senior prosecutors two days after he took office in January.

"I had to make difficult staffing decisions today in order to put in place a management team that will help me accomplish the work I committed to do for San Francisco,” Boudin said in a written statement released after the terminations became public.

The new district attorney is a career public defender who is the son of two cop killers and had never prosecuted a criminal case in his life before he became the district attorney of crime-ridden San Francisco.

Boudin is the son of Kathy Boudin and David Gilbert, two members of The Weather Underground who were convicted of murdering two police officers and a Brinks security guard during an armed robbery in 1981, the San Francisco Chronicle reported.

His mother, Kathy Boudin, was released from prison in 2003 after serving 22 years for the murders, but his father, David Gilbert, remains behind bars serving life in prison, NBC News reported.

The newly-elected district attorney ran his campaign on criminal justice reform, claiming that he was also a “victim” of his parents’ armed robbery in 1981 that left three people dead, two of them police officers.

Boudin has claimed he was motivated to run for office because he has experienced the results of the “destructive effects of mass incarceration,” NBC News reported.

He campaigned on a promise of sweeping reforms and beat an establishment favorite, interim District Attorney Suzy Loftus.

Boudin said his victory was a call for refocusing the criminal justice system on rehabilitation instead of incarceration or punishment, the Los Angeles Times reported.

Just seems like States Attorneys and DA’s are truly trying to outdo each other, kinda like a challenge to how much they will overlook or refuse to prosecute

Democrats have morphed into the trade union for America's malignancies. Thugs, criminals, MS13, dishonest attorneys, fake news personalities, radicals, illegals, and anything else that runs counter to our constitution, norms, laws, or sovereignty is a welcome vote to Democrats.

Be great if he got the shit kicked out of him being robbed by gang members. He'd have to set them free by his standards. PS: His parents, Kathy Boudin and David Gilbert, were Weather Underground members. Go figure.

This insanity stems from the indoctrination taking place in our universities over the last 60 years and especially now. This insanity will grow and continue unless we dig out the rotten core at the source.

Regarding his seven-pointed star lapel pin, this may explain it...

The very first use of the Septagram as the "Elven Star" can be traced to a group in San Francisco during the 1980s called, "The Elf-Queen's Daughters." Although they adopted this strongly feminist title, the group consisted of both men and women who believed themselves to be incarnated elven spirits in human form, sent to bring about an acceleration of consciousness and a peaceful paradise on Earth. Over time, their work and influence spread, with many taking inspiration from the idea of otherworldly spirits being born into human form to come out of the closet themselves. Not only did we find that there were elves in human form walking the earth, but also other kinds of fae, mer-folk, dragons, angels, demons, and earthly creatures such as wolves. With the spreading of the "Otherkin" movement came the wider usage of the Septagram as the "elven star" as well as a symbol for otherkin nature in general.

*As the popularity of the symbol spread, more meanings were attributed to it, including a loose and often individual assignation of the seven directions—North, South, East, West, Above, Below, and Within—and similar creative and elemental systems that appear to be inspired by the qualities of the pentagram as used within Wicca but with an extra Faery flavor. *

This attorney does not have the authority to not charge on valid felony crimes, legally and morally. This process of following up on crimes on view is how many crimes are solved, and serious offenders captured, such as Timothy James McVeigh, who was an American terrorist who killed 168 people and injured over 680 in the 1995 Oklahoma City bombing. McVeigh, like many famous criminals, was caught during a routine traffic stop. The same principle applies to a law enforcement officer investigating a fight on the street. At the same time, they find an illegal gun and drugs on the suspect, charges he or she with such crimes, even though he was only there due to the altercation.
When Officers stop a driver, they may see, or they may ask if they are armed, for Officer safety reasons. These procedures are one of the most dangerous actions cops do on the street, and this will never stop, moron for a District Attorney or not, as they could die if the driver has a gun in view and do nothing further. The driver may be legal in carry as most are, and that is sorted out right there if he is not, the Officer already on alert has a much better chance at surviving with hand on a gun, holstered or not.
On the Officer may see drugs, needles, and other dangerous and felony class crimes, and he is then obligated by law, and department policy to action which the Attorney General has no say, to do his duty and take of it. I feel sorry for this son of two cop killers, as he thinks he is making his parents look better, but no, killing psychopaths will not feel bad, as this is why they kill in the first place. Maybe he has feelings of hurting others, so he frees these dirtbags with illegal guns since deep down he knows they may kill someone, who knows, I am not Dr. Phil or psycho attorney, I only know right from wrong, a shortcoming of this attorney and more like him.
WHEN VICTIMS start showing up that will be killed by the criminal he released and didn't charge, and there will be many, he should be at least civilly liable and sue his negligent, willful attack associate of the shooter(S).

I'd keep making the car stops and just call the feds and let them handle the gun and drug charges. Tougher sentencing laws anyway. Screw the DA. You folks in SF and CA have it tough with these pussy whipped, Lilly assed, left wing politicians making up the rules as they go along. We have one in Philly too that's an asshole. Good luck. The rest of the surrounding counties have pretty good DA's in
office. When the residents and visitors get tired of being victimized by the DA and criminals, the tide will change. Maybe!
