Williams, Arizona - Officers are conducting a massive manhunt for a suspect who tried to murder a police officer at Bearizona wildlife park on Monday.
The park was first place on lockdown at around 11:30 AM after a K9 officer attempted a traffic stop on John Freeman on Interstate 40 in the Ash Fork area.
According to ABC15, the car failed to yield and a male passenger was thrown from the vehicle and later detained.
The car then took off at speeds upwards of 100 MPH before crashing into the culvert at Bearizona. After crashing, a second passenger in the vehicle was detained by police.
Yavapai County Sheriff's Office said that the driver, John Freeman, fled the car on foot, while shooting at officers.
Several agencies and SWAT have the area on lockdown while they search for the armed suspect.
John Freeman is described as being 6'0" tall and weighing 170 pounds. Freeman has hazel eyes, brown hair and a tattoo on his left arm.
Law enforcement in the area want everybody to know that Freeman is armed and extremely dangerous. If anybody sees him, they are urged to call 911 immediately.
