Library Security Guard Stabbed To Death After Asking Man To Turn Down Music

Finkelstein Memorial Library Security Guard Sandra Wilson was repeatedly stabbed inside the library on Tuesday.

Spring Valley, NY – A 52-year-old female security guard was stabbed to death by a smirking suspect inside a local library on Tuesday.

The horrific attack occurred at approximately 2 p.m. at the Finkelstein Memorial Library on Chestnut Street, WABC reported.

The security guard, Sandra Wilson, was sitting at her third-floor post when the suspect, 25-year-old Blanchard Glaudin, suddenly pulled out a knife and began stabbing her repeatedly, according to WABC.

Wilson had asked Glaudin to turn down his music shortly before the attack, Spring Valley Police Chief Paul Modica said.

“She was at the computer terminals and told him he had to turn it down,” the chief explained, according to the New York Post. “That was it.”

Witnesses said that Glaudin was smirking as he attacked Wilson, who then began screaming that she couldn’t breathe, WABC reported.

Two library patrons tackled the knife-wielding suspect to the floor while other bystander attempted to perform CPR on the gravely injured security guard.

Wilson was rushed to a local hospital, where she was pronounced dead, ABC News reported.

"They couldn't save her, they came out and said they couldn't save her," Wilson’s mother, Shirley Wilson, told WABC. "I just can't believe she's gone."

Glaudin, who has been charged with second-degree murder, has allegedly confessed to killing Wilson, but showed “no remorse at all,” Chief Modica said.

Investigators said that Glaudin was a regular at the library, and that he knew Wilson.

Wilson had been working for the library for nearly a decade, her mother said.

"She would always stop, always had a smile for everybody," library patron Esther Malek told WABC.

In addition to her mother, Wilson also leaves behind two adult sons and one grandchild, according to the New York Post.

District Attorney Thomas Walsh expressed his condolences for the loss of Wilson and also praised the citizens who jumped to her aid.

"The people of Rockland are shaking their heads at the news of yet another violent crime that took the life a loving mother, grandmother and resident," Walsh told WABC. "Our prayers go out to the Wilson family on their loss. I want to commend the brave citizens, who reacted without fear for their safety, by subduing the suspect. We will ensure that justice is served in this horrible crime.”

Chief Modica said he does not know if any of the security guards at the library were armed, the New York Post reported.

This murderer had been released without bail on an attempted rape charge.

"The 25-year-old man accused of fatally stabbing a library security officer to death had been released without bail after being accused of trying to rape a woman at Montefiore Nyack Hospital in November, authorities and court documents confirmed Thursday.

Blanchard Glaudin had been charged by Orangetown police under the name of Gaudin Blanchard, as he apparently goes under several names, according to police and court records."

The family should sue the democrats for letting this violent jerk to escape justice last time. Most of the problems in our country are the result of stupid policies created by liberal, mainly corrupt

And no one can explain why this POS was released without bail in Dec after having been recently arrested for attempted rape. Glad I don't live in NY any more.

This really makes me shudder- I know a security guard at a library in a big liberal city and he got in trouble for being too aggressive with a "homeless" man who attacked him with a metal pipe and caused over 10,000 dollars in damage to the library. These homeless people are WAY out of control and the people who protect them get to hide behind these "guards" and then blame them for their defensive actions- Libraries are no longer places to relax and read or study- they are for the homeless who are also the lawless. The family of this woman will never recover from this killing-they were just given a living death sentence. My prayers go out to them

100% time to reinstate public executions. Carried out immediately after sentencing. They no longer fear rule of law nor contribute positively to that which they claim oppresses them.

This is the second scumbag to commit a violent crime after being released without bail before the bail reform laws were to begin. NY and Cali are competing for the most dangerous place to live in the US.😠
