Gardendale, AL - A massive manhunt is underway for a triple-homicide suspect who is also accused of child rape. The suspect, Kenneth Lever is from Santa Rosa County, Florida and authorities believe that he will try to flee back there.
According to AL.com, Glendale Police Chief Mike Walker 'said there is no reason to believe Lever is still in the Gardendale area, but he may be anywhere in the state of Alabama or in the panhandle of Florida. Walker said all Alabama residents should be cautious and report suspicious activity to Gardendale police.'
Lever is suspected of murdering three people in an Alabama mobile home park on Wednesday before fleeing the area in one of the victims' vehicles. He is believed to have driven the stolen vehicle to another car and left in that vehicle.
Possible suspect vehicles are a black 1986 Chevrolet Camaro or a white Honda Accord with the license plate Y92FVJ, according to NY Daily News.
The shooting is believed to have stemmed from a domestic situation. The details aren't clear as Lever is not from the area.
Lever was set to go to trial in September for raping a child in Pennsylvania. It isn't immediately clear what his ties to Pennsylvania are.
Kenneth Lever is believed to be armed with a pistol and is described as 5'10, 220 pounds, brown hair, and blue eyes.
The suspect is believed to be armed and has already killed three people today. If spotted, call 911 immediately and do not approach.
