Gunman Opens Fire In Texas Church, Armed Church Members Take Him Out
White Settlement, TX - A gunman opened fire at a church Sunday morning before being shot by an armed church member.
The incident happened at the West Freeway Church of Christ in White Settlement outside of Fort Worth at around 11:30 a.m., according to KIRO.
KTVT reports that the gunman walked up to a server during communion and started shooting people. That's when an armed church member shot the suspect. UPDATE: Two armed church members fatally shot the suspect.
The shooting was captured on the church's service livestream, which has since been taken down.
WFAA reports that the video showed multiple armed church members rushing the shooter after the attack.
Two people were killed in the attack and one person critically wounded. The gunman is one of the two who were fatally short.
Fort Worth spokesperson Mike Drivdahl released a statement which said, “When White Settlement PD and White Settlement Fire Department arrived on scene, they did find a total of three patients that have been transported in critical condition. That includes who they do believe is the shooter, so that is a total of three, including the shooter, who have been transported.”
