For her statement for Law Enforcement not to shoot if the person has an imitation weapon. Police already don't shoot if they Definitely know that it is an imitation. She and others that think that way need to go thru the Cop simulation test in different situations and see how they do with telling which situations are real or imitation weapons before responding. The main problem is that toy weapons look identical to the real thing. I know that people say that they have a red tip on them. In most cases the tips they either paint or break them off. When a gun is pointed at anyone realistic toy or real anyone would shoot to protect themselves a person should not be forced to see if a bullet is coming at them to know which it is. WHEN AN OFFICER SAYS DROP YOUR GUN AND CHOOSE NOT TO AND MAKES A MOVE TO RAISE THAT (REAL OR TOY) WEAPON THAT IS MAKING A THREAT TO THE OFFICER'S LIFE AND THEY NEED TO PROTECT THEMSELVES.
TOY COMPANIES NEED TO STOP MAKING GUNS AND RIFLES FROM LOOKING SO REALISTIC. MAKE THEM LOOK LIKE WHAT THEY ARE INTENDED FOR A TOY THEN THIS WOULD NOT BE AN ISSUE.
I KNOW THAT THERE ARE TO MANY PEOPLE WANTING TO BLAME THE POLICE INSTEAD OF PUTTING THE TRUE BLAME ON TOY MANUFACTURERS FOR NOT MAKING TOYS LOOK LIKE TOYS.
BEFORE ANY LAWMAKERS OR POLITICAL FIGURES WANT TO BLAME THE POLICE THE NEED TO PARTICIPATE IN THE POLICE SIMULATION TEST.
