Florida State Fire Marshall Fatally Shoots Hurricane Looter

A looter was fatally shot by a state fire marshal.

Panama City, FL - A Florida state fire marshal fatally shot a looter Friday while the looter was trying to steal his car.

WPMI spoke to a witness to the shooting.

"He yelled at me a little bit. He said, oh I’m looting and he opened the door to the police officer’s SUV with the lights going, got in it and shut the door,” Landon Swett told WPMI.

"As I’m crossing the doorway, I look back, saw the officer at the passenger side. I don’t believe the door was open yet. Then I got about three more feet inside, and I heard the shot,” Swett added.

The news station reports that there is no running water or electricity in the city and looting is rampant.

Florida Highway Patrol is investigating the shooting. Neither the fire marshal or suspect have been identified.

That statement makes no sense. A fire marshal does not drive a police car. He drive a fire vehicle, usually not well marked as it is simply a motive to get around in.

The looter paid his price and took his chances. It didn’t work out too well for him.

A bunch of jackals in the feed ponds. Why people don't evacuate amazes me. Cities need to provide bus' to get them out if they have no car to leave.. whatever, stealing is NEVER an option unless that's why they stayed behind

State Fire Marshals are sworn law enforcement officers and as such they do drive police vehicles!!
