Miami Beach, FL - A Florida man, Dominic Puopolo Jr., was arrested Tuesday, after posting a video on Twitter where he vowed to kill President-elect Donald Trump at the Inauguration.
According to Fox News Insider, Dominic Puopolo, age 51, posted the tweet under the name "LORD JESUS CHRIST", @jesuschrist1701, and sent the tweet to the Secret Service, almost as if to dare them to try and stop him. The message read "VIDEO THREAT 1809H TRUMP DEAD." It was posted at 6:15 PM on Monday.
Dominic Puopolo's mother, Sonia, died on 09/11 on the hijacked airplane that was flown into the World Trade Center. Former Presidential candidate Hillary Clinton spoke the eulogy at his mother's funeral. Puopolo also contributed $20,000 to the Democratic National Committee.
He was taken into custody by the Miami Beach Police Department after leaving a Subway restaurant at Fifth Street and Washington Avenue just before noon on Tuesday. Puopolo was charged with Threatening to Kill A Public Servant and is being held without bond at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center.
The arrest warrant for Dominic Puopolo lists his address as homeless. The Miami Beach Police Department conferred with the Secret Service prior to the arrest and were told to charge him locally. He has also been ordered to undergo a mental health evaluation.
In the video, he said "Yes, I'll be at the review stand at the Inauguration, and I'm going to kill President Trump...What are you going to do about it, Secret Service?"
We can only speculate that the reason federal charges were declined is because of Dominic Poupolo's mental health. He needs to obviously remain where he is so that he is not a threat to himself, the public, or our incoming administration.
