Florida Man Arrested For Playing Basketball Naked In Public Park

Jordon Anderson told police it improved his basketball game to practice naked.

Longwood, FL – A Florida man was arrested on Mother’s Day for playing basketball naked to improve his game.

The incident began at about 7:30 p.m. on May 1 when an employee of Candyland Park in Longwood spotted 29-year-old Jordon Anderson playing basketball naked, FOX News reported.

The employee called police and when officers responded to the park, they found Anderson shooting baskets stark naked, according to the New York Post.

The police report said the officers asked Anderson what he was doing and he explained he was “working on his basketball skills” and added he “feels playing naked enhances his skill level.”

“Based on observing Jordon at Candy Land Park, which is a public area, and without clothing, exposing his sexual organs, I found probable cause to charge Jordon with indecent exposure,” the police report said, according to the New York Post.

Anderson didn’t give police any trouble when they asked him to put his clothes back on, the police report said.

Once he was fully clothed, officers arrested him.

His bail was set at $500, according to the New York Post.

Anderson wasn’t the only naked Florida man arrested recently.

John Greenwood, 25, was riding a baggage carousel naked at Daytona Beach International Airport at about 6:30 a.m. on May 11 when he announced a bomb threat.

“The bomb is going to go off. I planted a bomb in the bathroom,” Greenwood yelled, according to CBS.

Police had to evacuate more than 200 passengers from the airport to deal with the threat, but no bomb was ultimately found.

When officers tried to take Greenwood into custody, he was not compliant.

Officers deployed a Taser on the suspect and then were able to get him into handcuffs, according to CBS.

Greenwood admitted to taking drugs before he took off his clothes in the airport.

He has a history of mental health issues and was twice held for involuntary mental health examinations, according to CBS.

Greenwood was facing multiple federal charges for his naked ride on the baggage carousel and the bomb threat.

He is also facing charges for assault on a Daytona Beach police officer, according to CBS.

This should not be considered as a criminal justice matter. Should have committed, rather than arrested. Bad police work.
