Taylor, MI - Five Taylor Police Officers were injured on Saturday night, April 22, 2017, after the officers responded to reports of teenagers involved in multiple fights at a carnival.

The incident occurred about 9:30 p.m. in the parking lot of Southland Mall, according to Click on Detroit. Witnesses said that the carnival was 'packed', and the first fight began when someone killed a Canada goose. The fight escalated into an all-out brawl, and the witnesses said that one suspect had a gun.

Upon arrival, Taylor police officers found multiple fights in progress, and the teenagers started fighting with officers. Five Taylor Police Officers were injured. The extent of their injuries is not known but one officer will be out of work for at least two weeks. Their names were not released.

Several teenagers were arrested and taken into custody for refusing to leave the carnival, and for fighting the police. One teenager was from Taylor, and the rest were either from Inkster or Romulus. All of the teens that were arrested were taken to the juvenile detention center.

On Saturday there was an unprovoked beating of two officers in Davis, California.

Law enforcement officers are used to dealing with acts of violence from violent criminals who don't want to go to jail, but there has been a massive increase in the attacks on police officers for no good reason. Every one of these teens could have just listened to officers without issue, but they instead decided to disregard the officers' commands and attacked them.

Do you think that the youth of America are going to continue to follow this trend of violence towards law enforcement? Do you think that there's any way to turn it around? We'd like to hear what you think. Please let us know in the comments.
