Fire Captain Arrested For Having His Hose Out In 7-11 After Being Dared

A fire department captain told his girlfriend it wasn't a crime to be naked in Rhode Island and found out he was wrong.

Middletown, RI – A 60-year-old Massachusetts fire department captain was charged with disorderly conduct after he walked into a 7-Eleven store naked.

Lynnfield Fire Captain John Walsh did the stunt April 3 on a dare from his 29-year-old girlfriend, Tammy McDougal, after he told her that it wasn’t a crime to be naked in Rhode Island, according to WHDH.

However, WHDH reported that while it may not be against the law to be naked in Rhode Island, a person can face charges if it causes someone distress.

The woman who worked the register that day was upset by Walsh’s actions. The clerk didn’t want to release her name, according to WHDH.

“It’s not funny at all. In fact, it’s very scary when you have someone come in completely naked,” the clerk told WHDH. “He was extremely comfortable in the store. Handed me the Coke. Smiled. Never said anything. … When he got into the car they were both looking at me like it’s completely normal, what is the problem? I felt extremely threatened."

"I wanted him arrested naked, the way he was. Handcuffed," she clerk added. "It is absolutely the worst thing that has ever occurred in my life. I really think this man should have to register as a sex offender. What he did is horrible. What his girlfriend did was horrible, and she should be charged as well.”

The clerk said after she gave Walsh his change, she called police. The clerk gave police a description of the vehicle and that it had Massachusetts license plates.

Walsh was arrested was arrested for disorderly conduct and kept in a holding cell to wait for his arraignment, WHDH reported. McDougal was not charged.

Lynnfield Fire Chief Glenn Davis said that Walsh was placed on administrative leave during the investigation, according to WHDH. Walsh began at the fire department in 1979.

40 years as a firefighter and now a 60 year old captain with a 29 year old girlfriend. Amazing that he thought this was OK or funny.

Sad, women make men do some crazy things, hence 60 vs 29!!!! An entire career, quite possibly impeccable, down the drain with one stupid act!

I have worked in four different 7-Elevens and one night, in one of them, with several customers in the store, a VERY nice-looking young lady, in her early twenties, waltzed through the front door wearing just the TOP of a black baby-doll nightie which only came down to her waist. She just as well not have been wearing it because it was so sheer you could read a newspaper through it. She was one of those short but extremely well-built and good-looking girls. She walked directly to the back of the store, got a bottle of COKE out of the cooler, walked past the counter, handing me a dollar bill as she walked by, and said, "Thank you" to me. The soda was 99 cents, and I said, "Thank YOU," to her. There must have been 5 or 6 other people in the store and nobody else saw her. We had a really crummy video system; it showed that it happened but it was very low-definition. She was a very nice-looking babe.
