Felons, Illegals, MS13 Get Big California Welcome At State's Borders

Signs posted at California borders now welcome criminals and illegal immigrants into the sanctuary state.

Sacramento, CA – As California’s status as a “sanctuary state” went into full effect on Monday, new highway signs were erected to ensure that criminals and illegal immigrants know they are welcome.

The California Values Act, which was signed into law by Gov. Jerry Brown in October 2017, “bars law enforcement officers from arresting individuals based on civil immigration warrants, asking about a person’s immigration status, or participating in any joint task force with federal officials for the purpose of enforcing immigration laws,” The Political Insider reported.

As the law was officially implemented on Monday, motorists who entered California through Arizona or Nevada were greeted by a new message at the border, posted just below the “Welcome to California” sign, FOX News reported.

“OFFICIAL SANCTUARY STATE,” the signs proclaimed. “Felons, Illegals and MS13 Welcome! Democrats Need The Votes!”

The signs were posted by an anonymous street artist on Highway 95 in California, and north of both Lake Havasu, Arizona and Primm, Nevada, the Gateway Pundit reported.

The signs bore a striking resemblance to one erected in Malibu in April of 2017, FOX News reported.

“OFFICIAL SANCTUARY CITY,” the older sign read. “’Cheap Nannies and Gardeners Make Malibu Great!’ (Boyle Heights Not So Much)."

California is the most populated state in the United States, and has an estimated 2.3 million illegal immigrants, FOX News reported.

“These are uncertain times for undocumented Californians and their families, and this bill strikes a balance that will protect public safety, while bringing a measure of comfort to those families who are now living in fear every day,” Gov. Brown said when he signed the bill into law.

@bronx163 , they should be allowed to secede as they have been trying to do for years. Instead of spending money on the "Southern wall", I purpose that we would be better off building the "Western wall". The Mexicans and others who come North, seem to want to assimilate to U.S. values more than the left coast.

Um, crime rate is an average and has nothing to do with the size of a state. Total number of crimes will be higher in a larger state, but that does not mean a higher crime rate. CA had a violent crime rate of 444 per 100,000 people in 2016, while Alaska had a much higher rate of over 700 per 100,000 people. Who knew Alaska was so dangerous. California is around 13th in the nation for violent crime.
