Feds Arrest 18 Year Old For Online Threats About Shootings, Find 25 Guns

FBI Agents arrested Justin Olsen for threatening a federal agent and seized 25 guns and 10,000 rounds of ammo.

Boardman, OH – An Ohio teen was arrested after Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) agents in Alaska discovered he had been posting threats against federal law enforcement on social media.

The investigation began in February when FBI agents saw posts by 18-year-old Justin Olsen on the social media site iFunny, WKBN reported.

FBI Special Agent Themistocles Tsarnas wrote in an affidavit that Olsen, under the username “ArmyOfChrist,” discussed supporting mass shootings and wrote about targeting Planned Parenthood, according to Cleveland.com.

Court documents showed that one of the posts said “Hell, even the Oklahoma City bombing shows that armed resistance is a viable method of political change. There is no legal solution.”

Olsen also encouraged others to go out of their way to break gun laws and to “stock up on stuff they could ban.”

FBI agents said ArmyOfChrist’s followers increased to 4,400 in March.

In June, Olsen threatened federal officers while discussing the 1993 siege in Waco, Texas online, WKBN reported.

Court documents said that he wrote “In conclusion, shoot every federal agent on sight.”

Agents were able to trace Olsen’s iFunny account back to a computer in Boardman in July using the email address, WKBN reported.

Olsen was arrested at his father’s home on Oakridge Drive on Aug. 7.

Court documents showed that agents found and seized 25 guns from inside a large gun vault, including 10 semi-automatic handguns and 15 AR-15 style rifles and shotguns, Cleveland.com reported.

They also found more than more than 10,000 rounds of ammunition, along with camouflage clothing and backpacks, in the house.

Agents searched the trunk of Olsen’s car and found a machete, Cleveland.com reported.

Olsen’s mother’s home on Presidential Court was also searched, and agents removed computers, cell phones, guns, and any hate-related literature that they found, according to WKBM.

Agents said that Olsen claimed he was joking when he posted the violent comments on social media.

Court documents showed that when discussing the Waco comments with agents, Olsen said his remarks were “a hyperbolic conclusion based on the results of the Waco siege… where the ATF slaughtered families,” Cleveland.com reported.

Olsen was taken to the Mahoning County jail and charged with threatening to assault a federal law enforcement officer, according to Cleveland.com.

He appeared before a federal magistrate judge in Youngstown on Monday and was held without bond pending a hearing on Friday, WKBM reported.

“Urging people to shoot federal agents is never acceptable,” U.S. Attorney Justin Herdman said in a statement. “This defendant had access to an arsenal and we take his threats very seriously.”

You can bet both parents knew and are also under investigation. Sounds like militia behavior to me.

There is nothing in the article that says the guns were his. Only that they were in the house.

The guns are his fathers, although I read he had a Glock in his room.

Those weren't his guns. He's 18. They used his teenaged angst to perform a gun grab on the family. This, my dears, IS Communism.

I wonder when a great time to start profiling individuals like this would be?
