Mesa, AZ – The mother of a Mesa police sergeant who was killed by a drunken, meth-fueled illegal alien in a head-on crash in 2014 has been sanctioned by Facebook for speaking out against sanctuary cities and illegal immigration.
The platform also demonetized her Angel Families page, an organization that helps provide resources to the friends and families of legal immigrants and Americans who have been killed by illegal aliens.
One of the posts noted that “thousands of innocent Americans” have been “killed every year by illegal aliens,” according to a screenshot obtained by Breitbart News.
The post also mentioned U.S. Representative Nancy Pelosi’s concerns about whether or not Guatemala “could cope with a migration deal agreed with the Trump Administration.”
In a second post, Mendoza quoted a news article about the devastating crimes illegal aliens have committed against Americans.
In addition to removing the posts, Facebook also temporarily blocked Mendoza from being able to post on her Angel Families page, she told Breitbart News.
According to Mendoza, Facebook permanently removed the “donation” button from the Angel Families page, and told her that they did so because Mendoza had “violated their community guidelines more than once,” Breitbart News reported.
The angel mom argued that pro-open borders organizations such as the George Soros-funded “United We Dream” are still allowed to gather donations through the Facebook platform, event though they frequently denounce U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
In July, Mendoza’s Twitter account was suspended after she made a series of posts regarding illegal aliens and the dangers of sanctuary city policies, Breitbart News reported at the time.
“@KamalaHarris What law can I break and have you defend me so staunchly? Provide me sanctuary from our laws?” one post read. “Political cleanup from YOUR INACTION FOR DECADES is what it’s called. You have #bloodonyourhands for every death on an American killed by an ILLEGAL ALIEN CRIMINAL you re protecting.”
In another post, Mendoza called out Columbia Law School Immigrants’ Rights Clinic Director Elora Mukherjee.
“Fighting for ILLEGAL ALIENS ONE CASE AT A TIME,” the angel mom wrote. “The demise of our country from within. Where were you when American families need representation when their loved ones are killed by ILLEGAL ALIENS?!? Pro Bono for illegals but NADA for Americans.”
Mendoza tagged Congresswoman Nancy Pelosi in another post, in which she noted that “Americans are torn apart every hour by ILLEGAL ALIEN CRIMINALS. EVERY HOUR.”
Twitter ultimately sent her a message alleging that her posts went against the platform’s “standards on hate speech,” and demanded that she delete them if she wanted to resume using her account, Mendoza told Breitbart News.
“I’m disgusted and disappointed that Twitter is trying to silence me,” she said. “I had my world ripped out from under me the day my son was killed by a repeat illegal alien criminal. I am the ‘other’ side of this crisis and the end result of open borders and the careless release of illegal aliens at our borders because of time restraints.”
The social media platform referred to six of her posts as “hateful content,” even though she has been making similar posts for the past five years, Mendoza told FOX News.
After her Twitter account was suspended, Mendoza posted shots of her tweets to her Facebook account.
“And then Facebook put me in jail also,” she noted. “It’s cowardly that they do this to conservative people who are standing up, pointing out the accountability that our Congress lacks.”
“I’ve had people tweet to me, ‘Your son deserved to die. I hope you die the same way your son did, at the hands of a drunk illegal alien,’” she railed. “I have reported them to Twitter and Twitter has done nothing about that. That’s hate.”
President Donald Trump tweeted that Mendoza “should never be silenced,” and urged Twitter to stop sanctioning her.
Mendoza fought the Twitter ban for over a month before she finally “relented and removed” the posts, she told Breitbart News.
She said she could not sue the company “because they have Anti Trust laws protecting them from stripping me of my Freedom of Speech.”
Sgt. Mendoza, 32, had just gotten off shift on May 12, 2014, and was on his way home when the fatal head-on crash occurred, according to his memorial website.
His killer, Raul Silva-Corona, traveled the wrong way on multiple freeways for approximately 30 miles before he slammed into Sgt. Mendoza, KNXV reported.
Silva-Corona was also killed in the crash.
