Ex-Seattle Seahawks 'Legion Of Boom' Player Arrested On Numerous Felonies

Former NFL Player Brandon Browner was arrested on several felony charges on Sunday afternoon.

La Verne, CA – A former National Football League (NFL) player was arrested for kidnapping, burglary, false imprisonment, and violation of a restraining order on Sunday afternoon.

La Verne police responded to a call at about 10:07 a.m. on Sunday morning for a man who broke into a residence through a window, KNBC reported.

The intruder was identified as 33-year-old Brandon Browner, a former Seattle Seahawks and New England Patriots Super Bowl winner.

Police said Browner allegedly broke into the home of a former girlfriend through a locked window, and forced the victim back into the house when she tried to escape, according to KNBC-TV.

He had already been arrested for domestic violence against the same woman earlier this year, and had been given a restraining order to keep him away from her, Sports Illustrated reported.

The La Verne Police Department said Browner "allegedly physically harmed and made threats to kill the victim inside the residence,” CBS Sports reported.

The former Pro Bowl player left the scene before police arrived, but was accused of stealing a $20,000 Rolex watch from the woman before he fled.

The police found Browner on Sunday and took him into custody on several felony charges.

Browner, a Los Angeles native, has a lengthy history of legal problems, according to Sports Illustrated.

In May, he was arrested for battery and child endangerment, pleaded no contest to the charges, and was sentenced to probation, according to TMZ.

But shortly after his conviction, the court discovered Browner had violated his probation from a previous case with the new charges, and was ordered to serve 60 days in jail, TMZ reported.

He was released after just two days because of overcrowding in the jail.

"Anyone sentenced to 180 days or less for a non-serious offense is immediately released due to continuing overcrowding," a Los Angeles sheriff’s department representative told TMZ.

Browner was also arrested by La Verne police in May of 2017 for possession and being under the influence of cocaine, according to TMZ.

The two-time Super Bowl champion has made an estimated $13.1 million over his five-year NFL career.

Browner played college football at Oregon State, and then went to play for the Denver Broncos. But he was injured before he had a chance to play for the team.

He spent four seasons in the Canadian Football League playing for the Calgary Stampeders before he returned to play for the Seattle Seahawks, where he had a career high of six interceptions in his first season, and made the Pro Bowl.

Browner went to the New England Patriots the next year and won another Super Bowl ring, making him one of the few players in recent history to win back-to-back Super Bowls with different teams, according to CBS Sports.

Judges need to start living in the real world, not their fairy tale castles in the clouds.

Still one more reason to not watch American football.

So we have a repeat loser who should've already been serving time and had a restraining order against him. She's really lucky he didn't kill her. Just because someone can catch and throw a ball doesn't mean they should get a pass (haha bad pun not intended) from the legal system. 60 days for probation violation? What's the point of trying to deter crime if judges aren't going to enforce consequences at all?

I guess it's better than eating a bag of dicks like my hero Malcolm X used to do.

@Budman Don't ever question anyone's smarts. I have it on good confidence that people that overuse the exclamation button are as dumb as a bag of celery being eaten by a guy named Budman.

@LEO0301 Dumbfuck. I did say probably. And its not far fetched, as we know CTE sufferers are prone to violence.

Or should we not medically investigate causes and cures for CTE because according to you, it only effects NFL players?

How about that folks, we have a pretend Navy sailor want a be, also pretending to be a doctor, diagnosing a former NFL player from an article on the internet! Not only can he remove barnacle's from the bottom of his bathtub toys but he also provides medical care like a child playing doctor with his best boyfriend.
