I know, Rving, it seems like there is an officer injured or killed every day this year.

Prayers for the families and departments. As a police wife I understand that line of duty deaths are an awful reality and my heart breaks for those left behind

Time to end the custom of police motorcycles -- it is costing too many blue lives.

@Burgers Allday - life is full of hazards. In this case, the fault lies in a drunk driving a car, clearly against the law. If he stayed at home or took a cab instead of driving, the officer would be alive today. It had nothing to do with the motorcycle and everything to do with a drunk person behind the wheel of a car.
