CNN's Chris Cuomo Tests Positive For Coronavirus
New York, NY – CNN anchor and little brother of the New York governor Chris Cuomo announced Tuesday that he had been diagnosed with coronavirus.
"Soooooo in these difficult times that seem to get more difficult and complicated by the day, I just found out that I am positive for coronavirus," Cuomo tweeted on March 31.
"I have been exposed to people in recent days who have subsequently tested positive and I had fevers, chills and shortness of breath," he wrote. "I just hope I didn't give it to the kids and Cristina. That would make me feel worse than this illness!"
“I am quarantined in my basement (which actually makes the rest of the family seem pleased!) I will do my shows from here. We will all beat this by being smart and tough and united!” Cuomo posted.
New York Governor Andrew Cuomo addressed his younger brother’s health during his daily press briefing, CNN reported.
"This virus is the great equalizer," the governor said. "My brother, Chris, is positive for coronavirus. Found out this morning."
He called his brother his best friend.
"He's young; in good shape; strong -— not as strong as he thinks, but — he'll be fine,” the governor added.
"Now he's quarantined in the basement," he explained. "But he's funny as hell, he says to me, 'Even the dogs won't come downstairs.'"
Chris Cuomo was the third CNN employee in the New York officer who has tested positive for coronavirus, CNN reported.
