Suspect probably had unpaid parking tickets or suspended license or something equally minor. Suspect: “Hmm, I’m going to attempt murdering a couple LEO’s cause I don’t want to get bagged for something minor.” Too often the case. I don’t get it.

I wonder whether more rigorous federal gun control law would have prevented this tragedy.

Ol Hamburger Helper up there never disappoints always straight to more gun control.. how bout more people control how about getting theses dumbasses off our streets and locked up like they should instead of letting them out or better yet never charging them because of the public hug a thug outcry. History has proven if a POS criminal wants a gun they will always be access one control it all you want still not going to stop it. Only thing more control will do is stop good law abiding citizens from being able to protect themselves from these animals.

Prayers for the officers, and kudos for the restraint and discipline of the officers that caught the perp. I don't think this old soldier (myself) would have made a decent cop... cop-shooters probably wouldn't need medical for wounds, if I were involved with their capture. I'm being honest, but not proud, about, and of, that feeling.

The asshole broke into a gun cabinet at a residence in that area. The residents hid in the bathroom and called 911. This is a heavily wooded area, so it took a while to find him. When they did, he shot at them, wounding two deputies, which resulted in the obvious response and he got shot in the ass.

In his press conference last night, the Sheriff gave credit to a medic who came in immediately and provided assistance to the most injured deputy, staying with him from the incident, through the Lifeflight, until he reached the hospital. That medic probably saved his life.

The Sheriff thanked the many agencies who provided assistance to them. The local response to this has been huge, with citizens expressing their support and appreciation for law enforcement. Outside Portland, that's pretty much the case.

Both deputies will recover. One is in serious condition and one in good condition. I don't know about the shooter, and I don't give a rat's ass.

Washington county is corrupt, and the cops are very tyrannical, it's a police state with more pigs per capita than there is capita, and citizens are getting pissed off, and i don't really care. They've done fucked stuff to me, too.

So before you start crying and kiss cop ass, watch this video:
