Wausau, WI - Wausau responded to a call on Wednesday of an officer down with shots being fired at Marathon Savings Bank, according to WAOW.
The Wausau police department is not officially releasing many details of the incident at this moment.
What we know is that there were multiple shootings with scenes at Marathon Saving Bank, Tlusty, Kennedy & Dirks law firm, and the Aspen Street Apartments.
It's believed that the scene started at Marathon Saving Bank with the initial reports of shots fired and an officer down. Sources say that the incident was not a bank robbery.
The suspects moved on to the law firm before police swarmed the apartment building.
Wausau police say that the Aspen Street Apartments scene is still active and everybody should avoid the area.
All school in the are are on lockdown until further notice.
It's not clear what officer may have been shot. The only confirmed reports are that two people were injured in the shootings, but authorities have declined to release details at this time.
