BREAKING: Police Responding To Active Shooter In Colorado Springs

Colorado Springs Police are working on issuing reverse 911 to warn people away, say situation is not contained.

Colorado Springs, CO - Colorado Springs police are responding to reports of an active shooter on N Union Blvd & Vickers.

Police are warning everybody to stay away and have activated reverse 911 to warn people in the area.

The police say that the "situation is not safe at this time," and is not contained.

A manhunt appears to be focused around the Lynmar Apartments.

UPDATE: Suspect is a white male in 30’s, 6-foot, wearing a gray hoodie and light blue jeans.

UPDATE: The suspect got into a gunfight with police and escaped. Nobody was hit in the shooting. Here's the suspect:

Why? White males in their 30's are no more likely to be "active shooters" than any other race, although most ARE males. Unless you are being sarcastic about the hoodie, the point you were trying to make is lost.
