I know that when a police officer gets "dragged" by a car, it means that she or he was hanging onto the car as it started to move. It always surprises me that there are people out there who don't realize this (or at least pretend not to). It is an important issue because it impacts police officer safety and Blue Lives Matter.

Burgers...you know the details how, exactly? And, who's the "we" you speak of?

Prayers for a quick and full recovery for this deputy.

@JBo I hear you. But I wonder if this mindset comes from lack of knowledge about the subject or from a place of animosity. Either way I believe that addressing the comment(s) or incorrect assumptions politely and objectively is the most effective. Even if it falls on deaf ears there is still opportunity for someone else to benefit. I also figure that this is a forum where some come looking for trouble so they can further their anti-cop rhetoric. I refuse to give them any.

Thanks for what you and others do (or did) to come us safe day after day!

@Mrs10

Give it up with Burger Boy. He's a troll and self professed expert on all things police related even though the closet he's ever been to police action is a TV.

@Mrs10:. No, he held on. The driver didn't grab him and the vehicle didn't grab him. We see these bad tactics over and over

@Burgers Allday Without any type of visual cues it's impossible to say. It may have been that he wasn't holding anything and was simply moved along with the vehicle until he could right himself. There are numerous scenarios and we can "what if" all day but the point is the officer was dealing with very dangerous situations but still maintained to do his job. I'd say that means his tactics were very good.
