BREAKING: Houston PD K9 Officer Repeatedly Shot By Armed Robbery Suspects

Harris County, Texas - A Houston Police Department K9 was repeatedly shot by armed robbery suspects on Wednesday afternoon.

Our police sources tell us that Houston PD and Harris County Sheriff's Office were taking down a pair of armed robbers after a pursuit on I-45.

Harris County, Texas - A Houston Police Department K9 was repeatedly shot by armed robbery suspects on Wednesday afternoon.

Our police sources tell us that Houston PD and Harris County Sheriff's Office were taking down a pair of armed robbers after a pursuit on I-45.

Houston PD deployed their K9 and then the suspects opened fire on the Houston PD K9 Officer. An officer was also reportedly injured during the incident, but the nature of his injuries aren't known at this time.

The K9 officer's condition has not been released.

The suspects were taken into custody and are still breathing.
