BREAKING: Gunman Ambushes, Shoots L.A. County Deputy In Station Parking Lot

A Los Angeles County Deputy was shot in the Lancaster station parking lot.

Lancaster, CA - A gunman ambushed and shot a Los Angeles County Sheriff's deputy in the Lancaster station parking lot Wednesday afternoon.

The incident occurred just after 2:45 p.m., according to KTLA.

The deputy was standing in the station parking lot when he was shot in the shoulder by a gunman.

Other deputies on scene were fired upon but were not struck by the gunfire.

Authorities believe that the gunman was firing at them from an elevated position in a nearby building.

The suspect is at large, and no suspect description has been released at this time.

The manhunt for the suspect appears to be focused on a nearby apartment complex.

UPDATE: The Lancaster mayor says that the wounded officer "is going to be okay."

Our elected CA officials are the cause of these ambushes on our officers. Newsom is the newest offender going against CA officers and pandering to the criminals families, absolutly disgusting. Thank God the Deputy is going to be okay!!
