BREAKING: Female Officer Shot In Head By Gunman

A female Baltimore county police officer has been shot in Perry Hall.

Perry Hall, MD - A Baltimore County police officer has been shot Monday afternoon in Perry Hall.

City Councilman David Marks reported that the officer was investigating suspicious activity near Belair and Klausmier Roads.

WBAL-TV reporter Jayne Miller reported that the officer was shot during the investigation.

Jessica Kartalija reported the the officer was shot in the head.

At this time the officer has only been identified as a female Baltimore County police officer.

The officer's condition has not been released.

It's unknown at this time if the suspect is in custody or still on the run.

UPDATE: The gunman is on the loose. Officers swarming the area and telling all residents to secure their houses.

UPDATE: Jayne Miller reports that the officer is in critical condition.

Perry Hall, MD - The Baltimore county police officer who was shot in the head Monday afternoon has succumbed to her injuries, according to Governor Larry Hogan.

At this time the officer has only been identified as a female Baltimore County police officer.

Officers have flooded the area to hunt for the killer. Gov. Hogan tweeted that the state is read to provide "any and all resources necessary to capture this individual and bring them to justice."

A shelter in place order has been issued to residents in Perry Hall. Three local elementary schools have been placed on lockdown and students will not be dismissed.

No suspect information has been released at this time.

Maybe they are the same person. Kind of like the Detective Suiter thing might have been that (even though police offered a large reward to pin it on somebody for some reason that is not clear to me).
