BREAKING: Baltimore Detective Shot, Suspect On The Loose

A Baltimore Police Detective was shot Wednesday evening and the shooter is still on the loose.

Baltimore, MD - A massive manhunt is underway for a suspect who shot a Baltimore police officer in an alley in west Baltimore.

The shooting happened near Fremont Ave & Bennet Pl, in what is possibly the most violent part of the city.

Preliminary information suggests that a detective was working a plain-clothes detail when he was shot.

Officers are actively searching for the suspect. No suspect description has been released at this time.

The officer was transported to the hospital, and his condition has not been released.
