BREAKING: Adams County Deputy Murdered, Hunt For Killer Ongoing

An Adams County deputy was murdered Wednesday night.

Thornton, CO - An Adams County Sheriff's Office deputy was murdered near E 88th Ave near Corona St in Thornton Wednesday night.

The deputy was shot and the sheriff's office released that they had an "officer down." Local reporters have now confirmed that the deputy was killed.

Details about the start of the incident have not been released yet.

A massive manhunt is now underway for the killer and all people in the area have been told to remain inside and lock their doors.

UPDATE: The suspected shooter is in custody. There is still a manhunt for two accomplices.

The officer has still not been identified.
