Another gun free zone i presume. Signs dont stop bad people with guns, only good law abiding people follow gun free signage.
Wake up commie libs.

I wonder if tighter gun control laws could have prevented this tragedy.

Since when has a killer obeyed laws?

The logic is that the fewer guns that are out there, the fewer the number of would-be killers that will bother to get their hands on them.

You underestimate how easy it is to manufacture a rudimentary firearm. Especially a shotgun or full auto submachine gun.

That’s not logic that’s stupidity. If all the guns in the USA disappeared right now within minutes criminals would be on their way to the border to get more to take advantage of the unarmed.

Can you tell me the differences between a (SUBMACHINE GUN and a MACHINE GUN)? How about an AR and a sporting rifle?

Right On! Great Britain and Australia number 1 & 2 weapons are KNIVES & CLUBS because Guns have been taken away but the murder rates keep climbing.

Burgers Allday, You mean like Prohibition worked...or prostitution? Criminals will always obtain guns, will always break the law.

JBo: you are doing something called "letting the perfect be the nemy of the good." Besides, by your logic they would legalize hashish and methampetamines.

To the get rid of guns crowd - all of them. There are roughly 400,000,000 guns in American today. When you call for them to be turned in, not a single criminal will comply. Based upon that and the fact that I WILL keep my family safe, neither will I. So promote all of the Nanny State Laws you wish - make a criminal out of me. The guns STAY!

@Hamlinpiper: then simply do no knock raids in the middle of the night to get the guns that aren't turned in. After a few no knocks and arrests and convictions, people will start to take turning them in seriously. It may take a few years and a few lengthy prison terms, but there would eventually be far fewer guns.

Criminals will ALWAYS find ways to get guns and use them. It's a fact of life. Tighter gun legislation will never change that. I don't support tighter than gun legislation because we need our weapons.

SGT_moore_USA

My idea of gun control is using both hands. There will never be a way to destroy every gun made! We need to stop with the take away and start with education! Blame the criminal not the weapon they choose for chaos.

We can't eliminate gun attacks, but that should not stand in the way of reducing the number of gun attacks.

blueriverrose

Burgers Allday, you reduce the number of victims of gun attacks by having trained armed guards in place to stop shooters... someone who wishes to do harm to others will do harm whether it is with a gun, a knife, a bomb, or a car... your argument for more gun restrictions is pure BS

Burgers Allday
Burgers Allday

There are more than one way to reduce gun attacks. Sometimes armed guards are appropriate, but they are by no means a comprehensive solution, and by no means as effective as radically reducing the number of guns out there with appropriate nationwide screening requirements and insurance requirements. Armed guards wouldn't have prevented this shooting in Tennessee.
