An armed North Carolina homeowner caught a home invader in his daughter's bedroom and held him at gunpoint for police.

Lincolnton, NC – A North Carolina homeowner captured a home invader in his daughter’s bedroom and held him at gunpoint until sheriff’s deputies arrived.

The incident occurred on the morning of Feb. 6, shortly after the homeowner’s wife and daughter returned home from a dentist appointment, WFLD reported.

The man told police that he was lying in bed when he heard his daughter scream.

He told police he jumped up and rushed into his daughter’s bedroom, where he found an intruder, according to WFLD.

The father told police that he tackled the suspect to the ground.

Police officials said that man held the home invader at gunpoint while he called 911 for help, WFLD reported.

Lincoln County sheriff’s deputies in the Baker District were patrolling nearby in response to reports of a suspicious vehicle in the area and break-ins of outbuilding located on Magnolia Grove Road.

They responded quickly to the home and took the suspect into custody, WFLD reported.

Deputies arrested 42-year-old Jason Tillman at the scene.

He was charged with four counts of felony breaking and entering, one count of attempted breaking and entering to a building, one count of larceny from a building, and one count of possession of stolen property, according to WFLD.

Tillman was held in the Lincoln County Detention Center on a $51,000 bond, according to Fox News.

The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office said investigators thought the home invader had gained entrance to the home through a basement window, WFLD reported.

If I found an intruder in my daughter's bedroom, the only thing that would be left for the police is a body.

He could have reworded it slightly. Anyways, he caught this punk in his daughter's bedroom... That's a justifiable shot where I live. She screamed indicating that she was in danger.

As a prosector, I would have to hear the ALEXA recording to see if you are telling the truth. If you were not telling
the truth, then we would talk plea bargain, but your guns would have to go.

That's fine...they are not only easy to make with simple materials from Home Depot, but there are so many "normal everyday items" that I can use for defense since criminals won't surrender their guns as libs would like to assume. It's better to keep things leveled out.

Aside from that, if you can prove that you or your loved ones' lives are in danger, that's all you need for the police report. The only catch in my state is that you can still be sued by the other side (thanks to the libtards) even though you were protecting and defending your own.

So it seems we are all in agreement, good job of protecting your daughter but pops should have helped this man move on to the afterlife. Oh well. This scumbag will screw up again, maybe next time.

Jason is lucky to be alive. You must be a moron to break into a occupied home.

What would the neighborhood liberal, anti-gun fan do in the same scenario? Watch his daughter scream for help as she is assaulted and sits there helpless. Those folks would rather see people killed than have the tools to defend their families. I don't care about the adults; it is the children who have expectations that they will be protected, and not sacrificed for political views. This world is going nuts!
This dad protected his child. This dad would die doing it. What would the other dad do? It is a damn shame; this is even a question!
