18 Year Old Arrested Over Alleged Plot To 'Shoot Up' High School

Alexis Wilson, 18, was arrested for making terrorist threats on Monday.

Tulsa, OK – Police have arrested an 18-year-old woman who allegedly threatened to “shoot up” the high school she was previously suspended from.

The Pittsburg County Sheriff’s Office (PCSO) arrested Alexis Wilson on Monday for making terrorist threats toward McAlester High School, KTUL reported.

The PCSO’s investigation into Wilson began after they received an anonymous tip that she had told friends and coworkers that she was going to “shoot up” her old high school, the McAlester News-Capital reported.

“We’d seen video of her shooting guns,” Pittsburg County Sheriff Chris Morris told the paper. “She showed video to her friends and told them she had recently purchased a gun and told her friends she was going to shoot up the school.”

Wilson’s coworker told police that Wilson said she wanted to shoot 400 people for fun, and that her old school would be a good place to carry out such an attack, KTUL reported.

Deputies responded to Wilson’s home and took her into custody.

She told investigators that she recently purchased an AK-47, and said she was telling her coworker about it, police said.

Wilson allegedly claimed that she also told her coworker about a friend she’d had who threatened to shoot 400 people for fun, KTUL reported.

She denied having threatened to shoot anyone, the McAlester News-Capital reported.

McAlester Public Schools Superintendent Randy Hughes said that Wilson dropped out of McAlester High School in the ninth grade, according to the paper.

She was suspended on at least two occasions as a student – once for bringing a knife to school, and once for having a Swastika symbol on some of her belongings, KTUL reported.

Wilson told investigators that she tried to re-enroll at the school, but that administrators wouldn’t allow it.

She said she also wanted to obtain her GED, but that the school didn’t offer night classes and that her job prevented her from being able to attend during the day.

Deputies seized the AK-47, six magazines, and a 12-gauge shotgun from Wilson’s residence, according to the McAlester News-Capital.

“This is something we take very, very serious and there was no time to sit and wait around, Sheriff Morris told the news outlet.

Time was a young woman - if she was seeking attention - would pierce her nostril, or stop eating meat for a while. The volume is a little loud on Alexis Wilson’s approach. Someone get this kid a tennis racket, or something...

Sounds as if she needed a little discipline in her life, like momma busting that ass. None of these kids have respect anymore.

C'mon she'd be called a "youth" or "child" if she had a darker tan

If her plot was to shoot up police officers as they sit in their units, she would be called an unfortunate youth with a troubled upbringing with a distrust of authority. She would be released to her grandmother and a few months later all the charges would be quietly dropped.

Where does an 18 year old get the money for an AK-47? Oh right - living at home, no expenses and a $15/hour fast food job. Right...

Thank goodness she was arrested BEFORE she decided to carry out her threats! God bless the co-worker who took the threat as real and told the police! THAT IS HOW IT WORKS!

18 year olds shouldn't be able to purchase guns and nobody should be allowed to buy an AK-47!

What a way for my hometown to make the news. Usually pretty quiet around here then some teenage moron decides she needs attention. Well she got it! Thankfully her co-worker had the good sense to not just let her comment go. Could have been so bad. I have a granddaughter that goes to school there.

@Burgers Allday for once I agree with you.

For last 15 or more years these kids have been given trophy awards for just participating. The schools have become so touchy feely & preaching nonsense about "It's not your fault, it's someone or thing else's fault!" And not taking responsibility for their own mistakes. Know they have become adults where there is no "Safe place room with crayons, teddy bears etc!" These kids/pre adults can't handle the real world were mistakes have consequences! Parents & the schools need step up to the plate & stop this coddling & teach your kids to have morals, respect for others & the tools to be prepared for adulthood & all it's responsibilities.

As children of years past, we were spanked with a swat on the rear end to get our attention when we were breaking the rules. Our parents cared about our being respectful, obeyed the rule of law, and cared about the benefits afforded us by our country. They provided us with a ‘yellow brick road,’ paved with the bricks of life that would keep us in the straight and narrow, and guide us to be a patriotic and successful citizen, no matter what career path we chose.

The DEEP STATE’s Cloward-Piven philosophy for dumbing down society for an easy takeover has created an environment of lost souls with no direction. With the Left scaring the bejeezus out of them with the ‘fake climate change’ (billions of dollars in this newly designed fakery from the Obama regime - remember the billions in gave to solar industries who took the money and bankrupted the businesses?), world is going to end, murder of babies, free health care for illegals, free cell phones, ..... our kids have no direction and no idea what to do about it...

Does anyone else suspect that it’s possible someone knew she bought an AK, hates firearms and falsely accused her of threatening to shoot up her former school? There’s absolutely no evidence in this article suggesting she was going to do anything, other than the word of a second person.

At least one news story said that she wanted to "shoot 400 people for fun." Not sure how seriously that was meant to be taken. They were probably correct to arrest her, but sounds like there is a possibility that she is not really guilty because of First Amendment limitations on the law of threats as crimes.

What I seriously would like to know is what an 18 year old girl needs with this type of weapon and how she obtained it. How much space is between the ears of these kids these days that puts these ideas into their heads? What kind of upbringing do they have from birth to adulthood???

I'm surprised no one is committing on the fact this teen was arrested and her weapons seized based on 3rd party hearsay. She was not recorded saying she was going to shoot up the school, she was not stopped carrying the weapons to or on the school grounds...this is just another example of pre-crime enforcement.
