Philadelphia, PA – A Philadelphia Police Department (PPD) officer and her boyfriend were found dead inside the officer’s Port Richmond home on Feb. 26, police said.
The bodies showed no obvious signs of trauma, and investigators did not discover any evidence of forced entry.
Police said that Trask was discovered face-down on the kitchen floor, and that Officer Moran was located sitting on a sofa in the living room area, WPVI reported.
"It's just a sad day for all of us," Philadelphia Police Commissioner Richard Ross told WCAU. "We send our prayers and our thoughts out to her family."
Autopsies were completed on Feb. 27, but the results were inconclusive. Toxicology results are pending.
"It's shocking. It's a big surprise, just awful," her neighbor, Richard Yuill, told WPVI. "It's terrible to hear of anyone going, but she was just a really nice person."
