The fatal collision occurred at approximately 5 a.m. on a stretch of I-75 known as Alligator Alley, WTVJ reported.
Sgt. Greco was traveling eastbound in his 2018 Dodge Charger, when 32-year-old Curtis Woolwine slammed into him head-on with his 2016 Chevrolet Sonic.
Woolwine, who was traveling the wrong way when he caused the fatal collision, was pronounced dead at the scene.

He was posthumously promoted to the rank of sergeant.
His wife, Phoebe, was so overcome with grief when she was told about her husband’s death, she had to be hospitalized, his brother told WTVJ.

He is also survived by his brother, who serves as a deputy sheriff.
